Michel Foucault,regarding modern schools as a typical disciplinary site,believes that modern schools,by organizing and operating educational activities,transform the educational process into a disciplinary process,and students live under such disciplinary activities.This paper took students in vocational schools in Chongqing Fengdu County as the objects of investigation,using ethnography methods to study the characteristics of media behavior on students.I had been teaching in that school for one year,and visiting that school three times in 2015 and 2016,living with the vocational students in daily life.And I have recorded the students' media behavior characteristics.In addition,I also had interviews with the certain students during the spare time and investigation period.The paper focuses on the media application and satisfaction behavior of secondary vocational students under the discipline of education and tries to analyze the deep-seated reasons that why the vocational students would reveal the certain characteristics on media application via the students' self-presentation in the virtual world.The first chapter introduces the special living environment of objects in this research.First of all,the living environment is described from three dimensions:the county with a special cultural atmosphere,the immigration area with special characteristics of time,and the closed boarding school.In addition,the concept of"education discipline" is introduced to explain the campus environment of Fengdu vocational school students.Finally,the author discusses the media environment of Fengdu vocational school students,and provides the prerequisite for the follow-up study on media behavior of secondary vocational students.Students in Fengdu Vocational Education Center live in a special living environment.They are away from the hustle and bustle of the immigrant community and strict Modern campus.They study within a special campus environment which exists different kinds of rules all the time,such as temporal discipline,spatial discipline and physics discipline.The supervision and standardization of domination constrain their lives.They live in a single media world lacking of traditional media,their life is surrounded by network.The second chapter investigates the media application and satisfaction of the secondary vocational students,and tries to show a real status of the media behavior of secondary vocational students from two aspects of the situation on the media application and satisfaction.The development of modern information technology undoubtedly provides the necessary material basis for their online life."No cellphone No life" shows the tendency that students over-relied on the internet.And their eyes never leave the phone,no matter it is in the class or in break time and no matter it is in the classroom or in canteen.However,they have a lower level on media usage.The most important function of the network is communication for the secondary vocational school students.Secondary vocational school students live in boarding campus for a long time and most of them are left-behind children and single-parent children.On the one hand,the network will help them maintain the former interpersonal relationship,on the other hand,it provides chances for them to contact with the unknown world.In addition,secondary vocational students rely mainly on the network for entertainment.The closed campus lacks entertainment programs,and the way they find to satisfy themselves in the harsh campus system is the game.Combined with the personal case,this paper focuses on the daily life of the vocational students Hongcai and Jia Mei to restore a vivid media life picture of middle school students.The third chapter analyzes self-presentation of secondary vocational students in the network.Network space is free compared to campus life.Lacking of regulation on the network world makes secondary vocational students show a different picture in the unregulated,free expressed cyberspace-they smoke and drink alcohol,breaking the image of good students;They are eager to love,needing to be needed;they are lonely,seeking to talk to others;they curious on sex,showing the trend of deviant in spirit.In order to explore the students in the unique media self-presentation behavior and the reasons behind it.Based on this,this paper explores the unique media self-presentation behavior and the reason behind it.The fourth chapter is an overview and discussion of the contents of the article.Through the analysis of the above content,the paper describes the picture on the media behavior of vocational students and think about a deeper reason on showing such a behavior-struggling against the harsh educational discipline,combined with the social background of education and discipline.The strict educational discipline suppresses the nature of secondary vocational school students.The closed campus environment hinders the possibility of secondary vocational students touching outside.Their media behavior reflects their alternative resistance to educational discipline.The cruel educational disciplines like shackles,making some "different" groups of vocational students have a strong psychological rebellion,and then display their rebellion in the cyberspace without monitor temporarily from the campus.
