This thesis selects 80 students from the Qingzhuyuan Badminton Club of Jianye District in Nanjing as the samples of the study.The author intends to explore the different results of the physical health,mental health and basic action skills under the traditional teaching mode and the mode of “Rosenthal effect” by using methods of literature review,questionnaires,experiment and mathematical statistics.In addition,this research aims at making contributions to badminton teaching and training.During the process of the research,the author chooses four groups according to the age,height,constitution,gender,personality and so on.The experimental group and the control group are 20 groups each with 80 teenagers in total.Before and after the experiment,the author designs the basic physical fitness test,mental health test and badminton basic skill assessment.Finally,according to the experimental results and the analysis of data by SPSS20.0,we can find the results:1.Through the whole experimental period,the speed,strength,sensitivity,flexibility and endurance of the tested students were improved(P <0.01).When testing the number of T,there is a significant difference between the two groups(0.01<P <0.05).In the control group,P> 0.05 shows that the difference was not significant before and after and the increase rate was also lower than that of the experimental group.2.Through the whole experimental period,the data of mental health test of the students has a very significant difference(P <0.01).The majority of students have improved their own learning interest.At the same time,the experimental data also proved that the use of Rosenthal effect teaching model by the experimental group has actually improved their self-esteem and self-confidence and also cultivated the students a strong ability to accept and correct the learning attitude.3.In the basic skill examination,the number of P <0.01.It is proved that the students in the experimental group adopting the Rosenthal effect teaching model have improved their understanding of skill analysis and the level of practice ability.According to the analysis and research of various data,the scores of experimental group is higher than another group.We can find from the result of the experiment that “Rosenthal effect” can continuously encourage the students and improve the enthusiasm,as well as the special skills and physical quality,and finally make the training task be successfully completed.
