Research Of Hakkas Folkways Physical Activities In Southern Jiangxi Province

"Nine-lions-bow-to-the-elephant" in the camp town of Shangyou city is a typical hakkas folkways physical activities,and in 2010 it is selected for the third group of intangible cultural heritage in Jiangxi province.However,for various kinds of reasons,hakkas outstanding folk activities of four hundred years of history is facing the plight of endangered and lost.Hence,it is necessary to clarify its history and development,so as to explore the effective ways of its inheritance and protection,and to enrich the research content,which can provide some useful reference for the heritage and development of other hakkas folk sports activities in southern Jiangxi province.This article explores the origin,development and present situation of the"nine-lions-bow-to-the-elephant" from general geographical situation and cultural history of the camp town through some research methods such as the methods of literature reviews,field survey method and interviewing method.In the summary of the activity content and form of expression about "nine-lions-bow-to-the-elephant",its cultural connotation,sports value and the problems in later developing is fully analyzed.Finally,according to the result,in order to get the effective way of developing" nine-lions-bow-to-the-elephant" activity and other hakkas folk sports activities,some suggestions of protection and inheritance are advised.The research has shown that:1.The unique geographical environment and cultural history of the camp town gave birth to many hakkas folk activities and the battle of local families promoted the formation and development of "nine-lions-bow-to-the-elephant",which make its content and performing form perfect.2."Nine-lions-bow-to-the-elephant",which was originated in the middle of the Qing dynasty and has the rich cultural connotation and value of sports,has shown different connotations in different historical periods.3.Represented by " nine-lions-bow-to-the-elephant",some problems existing in the development of hakkas folk sports activities:(1)The impact of the modern ways of production and living(2)The loss of inheriting the talents is serious(3)The protection and support of government is not enough(4)The identity of hakkas folk sports culture is weak.In view of the problems about "nine-lions-bow-to-the-elephant" that exist in the development,some suggestions are as follows:(1)The government should make some relevant policies and provide financial support(2)To set up a reasonable inheritance mechanism and strengthen the cultivation of talents(3)taking the steep water scenic area as a platform,and developing the hakkas folk culture industry(4)making a integration of hakka folk custom resources and improving the identity of hakka cultural.
