Research On The Employment Support Policies For Impoverished College Students In Chongqing

With the popularization of higher education in our country,the number of college graduates increases year by year,which results in the severe employment situation of college graduates.For the sake of complex factors,impoverished college students play a role of a vulnerable group of the working force.To solve the problem of this group is of key importance,so that the employment of this group should be paid much attention.This paper mainly talks about the employment support of the impoverished students in colleges and universities of Chongqing.Through contrasting data coming from official institutes and communicating with college teachers who give employment guidance in universities,some characteristics of the employment of Chongqing impoverished college graduates can be found: the proportion of grassroots employment and self-employment is very low,the employment capability of them is vulnerable,and they are in low job satisfaction status.National industrial structure adjustment and new normal economy background affect the employment of Chongqing impoverished college graduates.And traits of local economic development in Chongqing also play a role.In the meantime,comprehensive ability of the universities itself and comprehensive qualities of impoverished students are important factors which influence employment.Carding support policies and measures on the country level and of Chongqing municipal government for past five years,and analyzing some typical practice of some universities and colleges,some problems emerges.Policy has been distorted in the process of execution;the financial aid system is not sound;employment support security system is imperfect;the exploration of colleges and universities is not innovative enough,etc.To settle these problems,three improvement measures have been put forward: further improving the security system of impoverished graduate employment;integrating social forces to promote employment of impoverished graduates;encouraging employment through multiple channels.
