Social Change On The Deconstruction And Reshape Of Traditional Social Network

The social network analysis is a rising theory and method used to analyze the social structure.This article will using social network theory to analyze the deconstruction and reshape of social network in a traditional village under the background of social change,it’s not only has the realistic significance for enhancing the common knowledge and understanding about Hmong group,but also has the significance of theoretical deduction for doing an empirical analyze which use the social network theory.Taking the Had Gnao village in Luang Namtha province of Laos as a case study point in this paper,on the one hand,it depends on the nationality and history features of Had Gnao village,on the other hand,it also depends upon the unique social network features of Had Gnao village.The traditional social network of Had Gnao village is in the confrontation between social change and maintain Hmong culture,the reason why and the way how it’s deconstructing and reshaping,and the impact about reshaping how did it happen in the Had Gnao village,this article try to answer all these questions,and what is said above is also the innovation of research perspective,research object and research site about this article.The Had Gnao villagers seize the rubber plantation as an opportunity,and the village changed drastically.Author selected three main changes,the first is population mobility,the second is economic structure change,the third is ethnic culture change,then take the war immigration,population urbanization and transnational marriage,rubber planting,migrant work and business,hoisting education level,penetration of mainstream culture and the characteristics of the times about social network as the main forms respectively.And discuss this three changes how to deconstruct and reshaping the traditional social network of Had Gnao village in detail that make the original social network based on the patriarchy and clan system from tight to loose,the village head and necromancer centered structure hole also start the change from unified system to pluralism,and the effect of social capital and weak tie in the villagers’ life and work become more and more obvious.These deconstruction and reshape of social network produced a huge impact on the life of the villagers,at the same time,it also start reacting on the social change of Had Gnao village in a variety ways.Village members access an increasing number of information and resource from social network that cause further promotion about village’s population mobility,subsistence transformation and cultural change.However,there are some problems in the process of deconstruction and reshape the social network,researcher’s main subject about next further research is how to solve these problems.
