Analysis On The Types Of Consumption Risk In Higher Education And Its Prevention Strategy

In recent years, society has paid much attention to education consumption. With the extensive application of risk in many fields, education consumption risk has become the focus of research in education and education economics. Education is a cultural consumption activities with risks, while some consumers are not aware of such risks,even some risk occurs because of the consumers' unintentional behaviors. Unlike investment risk, consumers even do not know the existence of risk in consumption activities. How to identify the risk in the future education consumption selection has become the key problem to be solved at present. Through the classification of education consumption risk analysis, the paper aims at providing the risk prevention methods for consumers.On the basis of literature research, this study explains the concept of higher education consumption risk. Through theory analysis of risk and consumption risk, it also explains the concept of higher education consumption risk. Clarifying the difference between investment risk and consumption risk and analyzing the influence of education supply and education demand on the coexistence of education consumption could enrich the concept of higher education consumption risk.Through the analysis of the consumption risk types, this study classifies the consumption risk of higher education. Through the analysis of the classification standards of risk classification and consumption risk and the study of the types of educational consumption risk at the present stage, this study identifies and classifies the educational consumption risks. The consumer as an individual has such risks: personal safety risk,earning risk, the quality risk, the cultural risk and the legal risk; the society as a whole has human resource risk, earning risk, the cultural risk, the legal risk, the social security risk and the education management risk.Through the analysis of risk, this study explores five problems that affect the consumption risk of higher education: the lack of consumer risk prevention awareness among students and parents, individual differences among students, the lack of moral education in school, administration's negligence of duty, the law's failure to exert a constraint on the service behavior, the deficiency of the state (school) personnel system.Based on the overall research, this study puts forward five suggestions to avoid the risk.Students and parents should have consumer risk awareness, students need to improve their personal skills, the school should create a cultural atmosphere to enhance students'moral quality, school administration departments should undertake the obligation of protecting students' rights, the law ought to strengthen the service behavior constraints and the government (school) shall amend the personnel management system.
