With the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization,the contradiction between man and nature is intensifying day by day,and the global environmental problems are becoming more and more serious.It is urgent for all countries to work together to seek the world's sustainable development.At the same time,under the impact of informatization and globalization,the capital,the manpower and the market transfer within the world,which leads to the increasingly fierce of world cultural collision and international talent competition.In the face of these crises and challenges,the concept of "global competence" came into being,and gradually gained attention and development in the field of education.As a comprehensive and highly applied discipline,the nature and the teaching content of the geography curriculum determine its unique and important value in the cultivation of global competence.This research is mainly composed of five parts:First of all,the theoretical basis of cultivating global competence,including human capital theory,ecological ethics foundation and postmodernism education thought.Secondly,after the extensive literature reading and research,the concept of global competence is defined as the comprehensive accomplishment of students with the dual identity of the world citizens and the international talents.And the existing index system and model of global competency are introduced.Thirdly,based on the above research results and referring to the characteristic structure and model of competence,this paper constructed the model called "global competence model based on context".The model consists of four dimensions:knowledge,skills,attitudes and values,action.And each dimension also includes some specific elements of the global competence.Fourthly,based on the core competence of geography subject and the high school geography textbooks in shanghai,this paper analyzes the feasibility of cultivating global competence in high school geography curriculum.Fifthly,on the basis of the theoretical research,this paper puts forward three effective ways to cultivate global competence in high school geography curriculum:expanding the teaching depth by supplementing the material to knowledge points in textbooks,forming a substantive understanding of the world by the means of aesthetic,according to the "3 principles"of subject inquiry to carry out interdisciplinary integration teaching.
