Study On The Development Of Sports Social Organizations In Small Towns

After the reform and opening up policy and with the development of domestic society and economy,the number and development of our social organizations on sports have sprung up,and they gradually become the essential compositions of domestic development of sports events.However,in some small-sized cities,there are still many disadvantages against social progress in the development of social organizations on sports.This paper takes the bicycle association within the Wendeng region in Weihai City,Shandong Province as an example,through the application of methods such as reference materials,field trip and interviews,studies the developmental process and present status of sports organization.Then it comes up with factors influencing the development of social organizations on sports,and offers strategies to the self-construction within the organization.The conclusion of this paper comes as follows,1.There is extraordinary natural environment,the well-developed economy and society,the inhabitants with high enthusiasm in sports exercise,and the fine environment for organizational development within the Wendeng region in Weihai City,Shandong Province.2.The bicycle association within the Wendeng region in Weihai City is an organization independently initiated by people.It has been established for a long time with a large size,and it’s able to independently hold activities and management.Its members participate in activities actively,There are more males than females among participators,the activity covers members situated within various age ranges.As for the management,its internal division of labor is not explicit,and managers volunteer to serve the organization instead of controlling it.Its management model is stable but lacks formality;and its expense is mainly funded on its own.3.The bicycle association within the Wendeng region in Weihai City is restricted by many factors,including sports instructors,activity costs and government support.It has a large size with considerable limitations.In addition,the management model of the government to its people is not well developed and the government does not support social organizations on sports much.Moreover,there are a small number of sports instructors,and they have low qualities,which cannot satisfy the need of organizational development.As for the existing problems within the organization,the paper comes up with several advice in the following:1.The government provides suitable policy environment for the development of social organizations on sports and enhances its support.2.Introduce professional sports personnel,improve the cultivation of social instructors on sports,develop the organizing and managing capability of the core members,and regulate the development of organizations.3.Expand the channel of cost source of the organization,and transit the developmental pattern.4.Strengthen self construction within the organization,and actively realize its transition to sports roles.
