The work engagement of teachers affects the teaching quality in school and the healthy growth of students.Excellent school leaders always can build a harmonious working environment to motivate more enthusiasms of teachers in the work,and to enhance the integral capability of the school in the meanwhile.The theory of Leader-Member Exchange(LMX)emphasis that the relationship of leaders and employees will affects the atmosphere of organizations,and then affects the employee's work attitude and achievement.Toward this end,the purpose of this research is to find the relationship and the influencing mechanism between leadership and the work engagement of primary and secondary school teachers.This research adopts questionnaire techniques by using LMX-M scale(Wang Hui,2004),Chinese UWSE(Zhang Yiwen,2002)and procedural justice scale(Colquitt et al.,2001).The questionnaire survey is to 450 primary and secondary school teachers who are from Hunan province,Hebei province and some other provinces.All the datum have managed into confirmatory factor analysis(CFA),descriptive statistics,correlation results show that:analysis,and path analysis by SPSS20.0 and AMOS21.0.The(1)The work engagement of class advisers is higher than subject teachers among those teachers who have taught in school more years;(2)The work engagement of primary school teachers is both higher than junior high school teachers and senior high school teachers;(3)The perception of LMX,procedural justice and work engagement of primary and secondary school teachers are pairwise correlation;(4)The perception of LMX can predict the work engagement of primary and secondary school teachers;(5)The work engagement and the procedural justice awareness of those teachers who have high perception of LMX is higher than those teachers who have low perception of LMX;(6)The procedural justice awareness of primary and secondary school teachers is the mediating variable in the effect between the perception of LMX and the work engagement.
