A Study Research On The Cultivation Of College Students’ Democratic Quality

With the awakening of the democratic consciousness of citizens,the wave of international democratization has been rising,and domestic leaders and governments have also tried to design the democratic system to provide a favorable environment for the political participation of citizens.As a group with relatively high educational level and comprehensive quality,college students are the main force in the process of promoting social democratization in the future,so it is very important to cultivate their democratic quality.The cultivation of the democratic quality of college students is conducive to creating a harmonious campus culture,but also conducive to promoting the construction of socialist democratic politics.However,due to the limitations of traditional political culture,campus environment,family environment and college students’ own ability,the democratic quality of college students shows the vagueness of democratic cognition,the negative attitude of democracy,the low ability of democracy and the lack of self-confidence in their own democratic ability.Based on the one to four grade undergraducates of Sichuan University,Sichuan Normal University,Chengdu University of Technology,Chengdu Institute of Physical Education and Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,this article has carried on empirical survey of status quo of democratic quality cultivation.According to the questionnaire data and current international and domestic literature,the author will analyze the present situation of college students’ democratic quality.At the same time,the author will also analyze the causes of the problems,and finally put forward the effective measures to cultivate college students’ democratic quality.This paper is divided into five parts,the first part is the preface.This part includes the background,research significance,literature review,research method and innovation of this topic.The second part mainly includes three contents.First,it defines the core concepts of democracy,quality and democratic quality.Secondly,it summarizes the western scholars and Marxist scholars on the cultivation of democratic quality.Finally,it discusses the significance of cultivating college students’ democratic quality.The third part is the empirical investigation on the current situation of college students ’democratic quality,and reveals the positive and existing problems of college students’ democratic quality.According to the problems reflected in the third part of the empirical investigation,the fourth part and the fifth part will find the reasons and put forward the ways of cultivating college students’ democratic quality.
