Sichuan is the second largest Tibetan regions of China,Tibetan college students need a transfer from the Tibetan culture environment into the Han Chinese culture.When meeting the differences of culture,values,religious beliefs and customs,the Tibetan college students have to face the cross-cultural social adaptation problem.The cross-cultural social adaptation of Tibetan college students will directly affect the their education in college,learning,individual physical and mental development.In order to analysis the the present situation of Tibetan college students' cross-cultural social adaptation in the S university,and discuss the methods to improving the Tibetan college students' cross-cultural social adaptation education in this research,this paper mainly adopts the literature method,questionnaire survey method and interview method,the selection of the S university as an example to do the questionnaire and interview for Tibetan college students.Cross-cultural social adaptation in this article is expended from five dimensions: learning,interpersonal,environment,psychological and future,the social adaptation are explained in all aspects and multi-dimensional.This paper can mainly divided into four sections as follows:In section ?,is the introduction part,which introduced the researching background,researching purpose,researching significance,the core concept definition,literature review.In section ?,through the Tibetan college students' S university of questionnaire investigation of the overall situation of Tibetan college students' cross-cultural social adaptation in the S university,the differences in gender,grade,hometown and other variables,and the analysis of the five dimensions in social adaptation,conclusions can be reached: the present situation of Tibetan college students' social adaptation betterthan average-level,in the five dimensions,the environmental adaptation dimension is the best,the learning adaptation is the worst.In the gender variable,boys are better than girls in cross-cultural social adaptation;Variables in grade,junior students' social adaptability,is best,it also shown differences in hometown and other variables.Through the difference examination,ethnic constitution and spoken Chinese are the two remarkable elements for the Tibetan college students in mental adaptation dimension,and the significance index is 0.05.Futhermore,the ethnic constitution of their friends is the most outstanding reason for the overall society adaptation,and the significance index is 0.001,and the influence of national acceptance is also noteworthy with the significance index of 0.01.In section ?,according to the results of statistical analysis and combine with the actual situation of interview dialogues,the author summarizes the reason of the Tibetan college students' cross-cultural social maladjustment: inflexible university teaching model;the unmatched attention in the future and practical action of Tibetan college students;the cultural shock between Tibetan and Han result in language conflict;the "misunderstanding" and "special treatment" on Tibetan college students;the selection bias during Tibetan college students' friendship.In section ?,based on the conclusion and analysis of the questionnaire,the Tibetan college students' cross-cultural social maladjustment education strategies are proposed,the mainly aspects as follows:(1)To carry out cross-cultural education,improve the learning adaptation.It can be shown in three aspects,one is bring cross-cultural education into the teaching,second,bring the cross-cultural education in art,third is take cross-cultural education in activity.(2)Courses in vocational training,improve the adaptation for the future.(3)Develop multicultural atmosphere,improve the environmental adaptation.(4)Develop empathy ability,improve psychological adaptation.(5)Strengthen the sense of national identity,improve the interpersonal adaptation.
