Objective:To investigate the cross-cultural adaptation of foreign students in Shenyang Medical College,to understand the social adaptation difficulties and acculturation pressures encountered in the process of cross-cultural adaptation.;To understand its cultural and psychological adaptation in an exotic cultural environment. To explore the factors influencing the cross-cultural adjustment of foreign students in Shenyang Medical College. In order to put forward some reasonable measures for the management of international students in Shenyang Medical College on the basis of the investigation and research. At the same time, help foreign students improve their understanding of Chinese culture, adjust the study and life in the Chinese cultural environment, overcome the obstacles in the process of cross-cultural adaptation. To promote cultural integration among medical students,Chinese students and international students, and to help them successfully complete their studies at Shenyang Medical College. Methods:Refer to the relevant literature of cross-cultural adaptation, and provide the theoretical basis for the investigation and research. The social acculturation scale(SCAS)and the acculturation stress scale(ASSIS)were used as the survey tools,Shenyang's College students of sophomores, seniors, seniors and some major fifth-year medical students were randomly selected for cluster analysis sampling.A total of 400 questionnaires were issued and 381 questionnaires were withdrawn. The survey included basic information about students,cross-cultural adaptation, and the related factors of cross-cultural adaptation.Using Epidata3.0 to double input data to build database, using SPSS20.0 for statistical analysis of data.Descriptive statistics are used for the general data of respondents.Independent t-test or variance analysis was performed on the level of social and cultural adaptation and the level of acculturation pressure of foreign medical students of different ages, sexes, religious beliefs, etc. The correlation between basic information and social cultural adaptation, dimensions and total scores of foreign students was analyzed by correlation analysis.Multiple linear regression analysis was carried out on the factors influencing the social cultural adaptation and cultural adaptation of foreign students.P<0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Results:1.The results show that the average score of medical students' acculturation is 60.42±1.05 and the interpersonal adaptation score is 17.38±6.06.The adaptation score of living environment is 19.48±6.52 and the cognitive value adjustment score is 23.16±8.06.Single factor analysis showed that There are statistically significant differences in the three dimensions of interpersonal communication, cognitive, value adaptation and living environment adaptation among medical students of different genders(t=-3.365,-2.923,-3.037,P<0.05);There are significant differences in the two dimensions of the living environment and cognitive value of different marital status(t=-2.316,-20.840,P<0.05);There were statistically significant differences in interpersonal interaction, living environment, two dimensions and social acculturation scale in China,respectively(F=8.223,4.734,4.836,P<0.05)There were statistical differences in the dimensions of social acculturation scale and the overall score among different Chinese friends(F=7.843,3.402,2.640,P<0.05).Through correlation analysis,we find that gender is positively related to each dimension, and belief, time in China and Chinese friends are negatively related to each dimension.Through multiple linear analysis,it is found that the Chinese friends, beliefs, sex and marital status of international students in medical schools are the factors influencing the total score of social acculturation scale.2.The average score of 337 doctors' cultural adaptation stress scale is 55.04±23.71.the discrimination pressure score is 12.75±6.60.the homesickness pressure score is 7.84±3.73.and the fear stress score is 7.03±4.42.and the score of disgust stress is 7.60±4.60.The impact score of culture shock is 8.72±4.65.and the score of guilt stress is 4.53±2.74.and the other factors were 6.58±3.24.Single factor analysis showed that there are significant differences in the two dimensions of discrimination and homesickness among different age groups(t=2.223,2.112,P<0.05);Whether we have studied Chinese or not, there is statistical significance in the dimension of disgust(t=2.590,P<0.05);The time in China, there are differences in discrimination, homesickness, disgust, and adaptation pressure. The overall score of 2 was statistically significant(F=8.426,4.630,4.033,4.856,P<0.05);There is a statistically significant difference in the overall stress score between homesickness and adaptation stress at different HSK levels(F=4.284,3.762,P<0.05).Through correlation analysis find that gender and homesickness dimensions are positively correlated with age and discrimination and homesickness dimensions, beliefs and discrimination, disgust, other and adaptive stress scores, the time in China, time and discrimination, homesickness, dislike dimension, whether to learn Chinese and disgust dimension,Chinese friends and homesickness, disgust dimension statistically significant,P<0.05.There is a negative correlation between the dimensions.Through multiple linear analysis,it was found that the time spent and beliefs of medical students in the medical college were the influencing factors of the total score of acculturation stress scale.Conclusions:1.The medical students in this study have the most difficult cross cultural adaptation in cognitive value.Cultural adaptation is most stressful in terms of discrimination. The number of Chinese friends, beliefs, gender and marital status are the factors influencing the total score of the social acculturation scale for Chinese medical students studying abroad.Time in China and belief are the factors that influence the total score of acculturation stress scale.2.College should organize various activities, standardize the management system, and implement loose management for some groups. To improve the teaching methods of teachers and to promote more communication, discussion and practice among international students. To improve the cross-cultural adaptability of foreign students and to improve the construction of teaching staff.Actively respond to unexpected situations and assist students at special times.
