Abstract/Summary:
Human beings have formed many splendid cultures in the long history of development. This is the essential difference between humans and animals, but the cultural differences produced by different social forms are significant. In the process of human development,we are faced with the situation of circulating in different cultural contexts. When entering a new cultural context, the influence based on the original context will produce psychological and behavioral disadvantages. However, due to the dynamic and learnable characteristics of culture, when someone is faced with an unfamiliar cultural situation, they often adjust themselves to better adapt to the new environment. This is cross-cultural adaptation.International students are typical subjects of cross-cultural adaptation. But unlike other cross-cultural sojourners, international students cross-culturally and integrate the world. They must not only adjust their psychology and behavior in the new environment, but also learn the social culture of the destination country. In other words, they have both "foreigner" attributes and "student" attributes, but they are significantly different from other sojourners in that: first, the time of sojourn has clear characteristics and will return to their home country;second,The stage is special, usually from adolescence to adulthood or another middle school stage to a higher stage. Therefore, these dimensions in the study of international students’ cross-cultural adaptation can comprehensively and systematically interpret the self-regulation of international students in the process of cultural context transformation, and interpret the social culture and learning achievements of the destination country. This study used the psychological adaptation scale(Zung’s self-rating depression scale),the social adaptation scale(revised by the researcher)and the academic adaptation scale(revised by the researcher),etc.140 international students were selected to replace the cross-cultural adaptation in D University. The situation is studied, and statistical methods such as correlation analysis and analysis of variance are adopted, and the following schemes are finally obtained:First, through relevant analysis,it can be seen that there is an independent and connected relationship between the psychological adaptation, social cultural adaptation and academic adaptation of international students during their studies in China.Second, the severity of mild depression of international students in China is more serious, and it can be used as a substitute for psychological prevention.Age,country, time of studying abroad, degree of understanding of China, and status of studying abroad have a major impact on the psychological adaptation of international students in China.Third, international students in China have certain difficulties in social and cultural adaptation, which can be attributed to moderate difficulty. However, people from different countries and different genders have different difficulties in social and cultural adaptation.Fourth, there are certain defects in the academic adaptation of international students in China, which can be attributed to moderate difficulty.Through the school library and the development of retention work, the difficulty can be effectively reduced. However, the shortcomings of the academic adaptation of individuals from different countries and their knowledge of China vary.
