| With the development of society and the continuous integration of culture,more and more Tibetan students choose to study in mainland universities.Tibetan students with their own culture background coming into a different culture background have to face not only the challenge of a new stage of life,but also the impact from cultural differences.When they came into universities,they would feel various cross-cultural adaption problems,and these problems would be with them through their whole college life.To deal with these problems successfully is the key to a physical and mental health for the students.When Tibetan students graduate from universities,go into the real society,the cross-cultural adaptation problems will also be an issue,so solving cross-cultural adaptation problem have a positive meaning.Many experts and scholars have paid attention to the cross-cultural adaptation problems of minority groups in our country and discussed the methods to improve the cross-cultural ability of minority college students.But the methods they proposed are more dependent on external support,not really enhancing students’ ability and can’t have long-term impact on the students.This paper explores the cross-cultural adaptation problem from the perspective of cultural intelligence,mainly discusses the current situation of cross-cultural adaptation of Tibetan college students,validates the relationship between cultural intelligence and cross-cultural adaptation,and promotes the way to enhance cultural intelligence.Cultural intelligence was proposed base on the research of cross-cultural adaptation,which itself is a universal ability of cross-cultural environment.After the concept of cultural intelligence was presented,many experts and scholars have studied the relationship between cross-cultural adaptation and it,and the role of cultural intelligence in cross-cultural communication has become increasingly prominent.Cultural intelligence as a kind of ability,will be affected by the inherent factors as well as the acquired environment,which gives the cultural intelligence the possibility of improvement.The level of cultural intelligence affects the cross-cultural adaptation directly,so cultural intelligence is one of the key point to solve the problem of cross-cultural adaptation.In order to carry out above research,the study used the research methods of literature research,questionnaire and interview.Firstly,collected information related to cultural intelligence,cross-cultural adaptation,the relationship between cultural intelligence and cross-cultural adaptation in order to understand cultural intelligence and cross-cultural adaptation comprehensively and find theoretical support.Then used the questionnaire and interviews to investigate the current adapt situation of Tibetan college students.then,the questionnaire was also used for exploring the correlation between cultural intelligence and cross-cultural adaptation.Finally,based on the relationship between cultural intelligence and cross-cultural adaptation,the creativity of cultural intelligence and the six steps of improving cultural intellectual proposed by Earley and Mosakowski,this study put forward the way to enhance Tibetan college students’ cultural intelligence by three groups: students,teachers and the school. |
