Task-based approach(referred TBA)is a teaching method used in language teaching field, which popped in the 1980s.Over the years,it is widely recognized by the educational scholars in the world. The Ministry of National Education-Basic Education publicized new "English curriculum standards" in 2011,and advocates TBA.TBA emphasizes that learners use the target language to finish specific and meaningful tasks,to communicate and cooperate with others.Learners can not only masterlanguage knowledge, but also can cooperate with their partners, and try to transfer the classroom language learning and the extracurricular language during the process of finishing the tasks. The implementation of TBA can contribute to the achievement of the new curricular standards of advanced teaching theories and enhances the integrated language skills of students. It can also help overcome the drawbacks of traditional teaching methods and avoids the separation of language learning and real life language use.Various educational scholars have made lots of study about TBA.They have already given lots of details about the basic theoretical framework of TBA,for instance, learning objectives, principles, structures of classroom teaching and teachers and students' roles. However, the application of this teaching method in real teaching condition is not deeply and totally studied and analyzed.Considering the present trend of English teaching reform and according to the requirements of the new curriculum standards, the author introduces the basic theoretical framework of the TBA in detail, such as the 'basic concepts, basic structure and so on,and does the survey about the implementation of TBA in high school oral English teaching. Thus,we can make it clear about the implementation of TBA and the effect of TBA,and then puts forward the opinions and suggestions to solve the problems. In detail, the author adopts one survey method-questionnaire.First of all, through questionnaire, the author aims to clarify 30 teachers and 166 students' opinion from a senior high school of Beijing towards the implementation of TBA and the effect of TBA.The implementation of the situation includes whether the tasks designed by teachers are consistent with the principle of TBA,the links of the implementation of the task are complete. The survey of effect of the implementation tasks includes if this teaching method improves students' ability to solve problems, comprehensive language skills, team cooperation ability and so on.Teachers and students use the same set of questions. The author's purpose is to compare the views of the two groups and the author gets several conclusions:1.Both teachers and students consider that TBA was used infrequently.2.Teachers have clear understandings of TBA,they can design appropriate tasks according the implementation principles of TBA,but some tasks do not conform to hierarchical principle and lack of learning objectives.3.Teachers should continually improve their theoretical knowledge and skills from the implementation of tasks aspect.4.Both teachers and students hold positive attitude towards the effect of TBA.Finally, based on the results from all kinds of surveys, the author gives the corresponding suggestions, and the main suggestions can be divided into follows:teachers should change teaching idea, understanding the task-based teaching method comprehensively and correctly;teachers should improve their own quality and abilities to design and operate task to ensure the effective implementation of the task-based teaching method;teachers should encourage students to publish their views and guide the students to complete assigned tasks and improve students' comprehensive language using ability, etc.Hopes these suggestions can be beneficial to full implementation of TBA.
