Under the background of one-child policy, the acceleration of urbanization and the intensification of labor market competition, rural endowment crisis and city“neet”begin to emerge, which challenge “feedback mode”proposed by Fei Xiaotong. There is violent controversy about whether the filial piety declined.Based on the relevant literature, this study found:On the subject of filial piety evaluation, the most existing literature explored from the perspective of society or scholars, the literature from the the perspective of parents are little; On the content of filial piety evaluation, there are many literature on the study of filial piety from the perspective of supply, but little literature from the perspective of demand. This study, based on the survey data of 13 villages in the town of Hong'an,tend to explore the evaluation of filial piety of the elderly in rural areas from the perspective of supply and demand. It should be pointed out that the "children" in this study mainly refers to the living and the oldest children.First, the expectation level of filial piety of rural elderly is lower than the average level.Filial piety expectation mainly includes two aspects, one is that children can take care of them in their old age, economic constraints and other difficulties, the other one is that children can go home or call home in their spare time. The ability of children, their ability and the structure of family children are the important influence factors of the filial piety expectation.Under the background of structural pressure and ethics of responsibility,it is not affected by the family economic status, family support ratio, family economic status and health status, poor children' physical health conditions can reduce the filial piety expectations. However, when the elderly widowed, the dream of helping each other through spouse can't come true, they have to increase their filial piety expectation. In addition, affected by concept of “the buckwheat is not food, daughter does not raise the mother”,the filial piety of rural elderly on the son is higher than the daughter, but the filial piety expectations of the pure female family is higher because of the family structure constraints.Second, the average value of filial behavior the elderly accepted in rural areas isclose to the average level and higher than their filial piety expectation. Therefore, the rural children are filial, can meet their parents requirements.Under the background of structural pressure, the children will increase the financial support of filial piety to compensate for the lack of filial piety in life care.filial behavior the elderly can accepted affected by children' ability, parents' ability and family structure. However,we also found:(1)filial piety behaviors of children also have some utilitarian tendency;(2)there is no difference between male and female elderly in the filial piety expectation, but the male filial piety behavior is less than the female;(3)Although filial piety expectation of rural elderly on sons are higher than that on daughters, there is no gender difference on the filial piety the rural elderly accepted, the importance of daughter in filial piety is rising with the time.Third, the elderly in rural areas generally have higher filial evaluation, they don't agree with the unfilial statement proposed by the academical circles. The evaluation of filial piety is not based on the children's filial piety(supply),but based on their filial piety expectation(demand)and their filial piety behavior to meet their filial piety expectation, which is the evaluation mechanism of filial piety in rural areas. In addition,we found that their evaluation of filial piety on daughters is higher than sons, combined with the situation of filial piety expectation and filial piety behavior accepted, the mechanism of filial piety evaluation of rural elderly is further verified.
