The National Examination Center announced that since 2014,the “rational cloze test” would replayed the individual multiple choice questions.Metacognitive strategy is a guide to help people to regulate their's cognitive activities,select effective cognitive strategy in the process of the implementation.And the first gradeis the critical period in the whole high school learning process,because it is the critical period for the students to develop good habits,form effective learning strategies and other aspects of English learning.Therefore,this study will be based on the O 'Malley and Chamot meta-cognitive strategies as the main basis for the classification.And it will use the questionnaire survey method,the test method and the interview method to explore the common features and the differences of the student's meta-cognitive strategy in the rational cloze test.As is indicated by the result:(1)students know a little about the meta-cognitive strategies,and the frequency of meta-cognitive in rational cloze test is in the "sometimes" stage.And the marshalling sequence of meta-cognitive strategies used by senior students in rational cloze test is :Monitoring strategy(2.965);selection of attention(2.9292);planning strategy(2.3625);evaluation strategy(2.09).(2)Due to the differences in the cognitive model,reaction model between the male and the female.There is a significant difference in the use of metacognitive strategies between high school students in rational cloze test.(3)The mean values of the meta-cognitive strategies of the high-group students were higher than those low-group,And the largest mean gap between the high and low groups is selection strategy.
