A Practical Study On Cultivating Students' Critical Thinking Ability In Chinese Reading Teaching

The primary school level is an important period of training and cultivating students' thinking ability.Foreign countries have been studying critical thinking for a long time,and have been set up related training courses;this concept was introduced into China relatively late,and research is still in development period.The establishment of the new curriculum further clarifies the characteristics and the nature of Chinese language curriculum,and its advantages and responsibilities on "developing students' thinking".This study,taking third grade as an example,tries to explore the strategies of cultivating students' critical thinking ability in Chinese reading teaching at primary school and investigate the influences of proposed strategies on students' development by practice research.Focused on the cultivation of students' critical thinking ability in Chinese reading teaching at primary school,this study proposed four strategies: create problem situations to awaken students' consciousness of problems;award way of thinking to guide students to think independently;create relaxing classroom atmosphere to form multidirectional effective cooperation;protect students' curiosity and thirst for knowledge and pay attention to feedback on learning effect.In terms of specific methods,this study adopts exploration of points of view,questioning proof,analogy,social survey,debate,thinking,etc.The results are as follows: the critical thinking ability of the students in the experimental class has been improved significantly;furthermore,the process of cultivating critical thinking ability greatly stimulated students' initiatives,effectively guide the establishment of students' self-confidence and the formation of consciousness of scientific inquiry,comprehensively enhance students' Chinese language literacy,and helpstudents learn the correct way of thinking and develop good thinking habits.
