Since the end of last century,with the rapid process of urbanization,increasing numbers of migrant worker,the growing number of left-behind children in rural areas and their educat ion has become a severer problem.At the critical stage of building a moderately prosperous s ociety,rural left-behind children education problem becomes a hot issue which needs to be fix ed.To solve this problem,many scholars have spared great efforts in summarizing and researching from the perspective of policy support,system construction,theoretical research,practice and other aspects of the study and achieved certain results.But the construction of concerted education effort and educational strength development research are less researched which however is worth further study.Ever since the left-behind children education gains much concern,the government,society,school and community have taken some measures to improve the situation.However,because of the absence of the government guide,the pooling efforts of the society and family education and school education inefficiency as well as the weakness of the awareness of rural teachers to care about the weak and disadvantaged children,there is still no complete and effective educational mechanism of jointing efforts.The education of left-behind children is a systematic project,which can not be accomplished within a short period of time,nor can it be fulfilled by any single individual.In the process,the government should take the major role,and the family should play the fundamental part in their children education,and the whole society should be active and supportive.Rural schools play a leading role and normal university students pass it down from generation to generation.Thus it forms the “five in one”model,in which the government,the family,the society,rural schools and normal universities students will work together.The main task of the intern teaching is about professional practice and the class work.The major job of supporting teaching is also about teaching and management.As the key issue of poor area education,left-behind children education is highly concerned,which needs these benevolent rural teachers' attention and work.As a reserve of rural teachers,normal university students should care more about left-behind children education,for it is not the new teacher training mission,but expansion of the teaching practice function.As an important part of the effective strength,students in normal universities are still have a long way to go in teaching and guiding left-behind children as a result of the lack of teaching knowledge and skills,theimperfection of local government support,the absence of guide of supporting teaching and the weak awareness and the deficiency of the right attitude to serve their hometown as well as the prejudices from their families and communities,although they have improved and learned a lot from their experiences to support teaching in rural areas and contributed much to the education of the left-behind children.Because of what have been illustrated above,using the approaches of literature review,interview,questionnaire and case study,based on the definitions of the key concepts such as left-behind children education,the supporting teaching practice of normal university students,“five in one”concerted education effort,the teacher's professional qualities and so on,taking the practice of caring about rural left-behind children's education of Min Nan Normal University and the specific measurements taken by Yun Xiao supporting education pilot,this thesis tentatively analyzes the current situation and the education problem of the left-behind children and discusses the necessity of intern teachers to expand the function of left-behind children education,through education equality theory,new public management theory and teacher's professional quality theory,and thus draws the conclusion that we should make great effort to train more intern teachers as the effective strength to support education in rural areas.Besides,this thesis tries to enrich the relevant theory about teacher professional development and innovate the model of left-behind children's education and care,and at the same time,to set an example for students in normal university to improve themselves and provide a salutary experience both in theory and practice for the government,the society,normal universities and primary and middle schools in rural areas.
