Research On Marathon Events Risk Management

As the marathon events are risen all over the world,the various risks what the marathon faces are becoming more complex,uncertainty also will increase as the expansion of the scale,influence and the change of competition environment.At the same time,the benefit related subjects of the events must to afford the risks independent,because of the marathons' operation pattern of mercerization and the stakeholders of the events' responsibilities clear.So the marathon event risk management is especially important.Through literature review and analysis found: the research about marathon mainly focus on the brand building,the market-oriented operation,social and economic benefit analysis of the events in our country,little research about marathon event risk management.In reaction to the phenomenon,this paper is comparative analysis among the large social activities risk management,large-scale sports event risk management and marathon event risk management from sociality and athletics of marathon.It reveals the connotation of the marathon event,and the marathon event risk management theory in this paper.It puts forward the new concept of the marathon event for the first time,provide theoretical basis for risk identification of the event,through the concept to understand the characteristics of the marathon.Classifying marathon event risks through the methods of literature,questionnaire,logic analysis and other research methods,expounds the competition project risk,political risk,economic risk,management risk and environment risk 5 main risks,and the project risk is regard as the object of the emphasis on competition.According to the risk management program,theoretical research on the four links about the marathon risk identification,assessment,response and supervisory control,and apply the part of theory,method to empirical studies.In the part of empirical studies,with the examples of Xiamen international marathon event,research in-depth on Xiamen international marathon event risk management by the theory of risk management.Through on-the-spot investigation visit,identify the Xiamen international marathon event risk consistent with theoretical study of the 5 main risks,and according to the risk content,expound the Xiamen international marathon event risk response.For the shortfall of the marathon event existing,I put forward my own suggestion:(1)perfect competition medical security system;(2)perfect the marathon format;(3)strong communication at home and abroad,draw lessons from foreign successful experience in the marathon event risk management(4)develop marathon risk management personnel;(5)establish a marathon event risk management agencies;(6)strengthen the pre-match propaganda and education.
