Research On Risk Management And Control Of Large-scale Marathon Events

With the rapid development of China's economy,the demand level of most people has shifted from satisfying material needs to health pursuits and spiritual pursuits.The number of marathon events held in China and the number of participants have reached new heights year after year,from 13 in 2010 to 1102 in2017;from about 220,000 in 2011 to 4.98 million in 2017,especially since 2015.Since the cancellation of the marathon event approval system,there has been explosive growth.While domestic large-scale marathon events are in full swing,relevant risk warning analysis and risk management and control systems have not kept pace.In the face of increasingly large number of events and the number of participants,risk factors in various aspects have also increased.The potential risks faced by the start-up parties have also increased.In order to analyze and summarize the risk control of the Xichang Bohai Marsh International Marathon,establish a risk management and control system,provide theoretical references and suggestions for risk management and control of domestic large-scale marathon events,reduce risk accidents,and promote the healthy development of large-scale marathon events.In this paper,the risk factors of Xichang Bohai International Marathon(hereinafter referred to as West Malaysia)are analyzed in depth through the methods of literature,statistical analysis,field investigation,and case study methods,and a Western Malaysian risk management and control system is established.Provide theoretical references and suggestions for the risk control of large marathon races in China,and promote the healthy development of West Malaysia and other large-scale marathon events.After the study,the following conclusions and recommendations were drawn:in conclusion:in conclusion:(1)The impact of large-scale marathon events is huge,especially CCTV's live broadcast of “gold medal events”.Event risk managers should really pay close attention to this,and conduct in-depth research to establish a scientific and reasonable risk management system to strengthen the competition.Risk management.(2)The risk types of the West Malaysia races are broadly divided into subjective types(race running risks,organizational management risks,venue equipment risks,technical risks,personnel risks)and objective types(politics,economics,natural disasters,human social activities),There are close links between various risk factors and they can transform and interact with each other under certain conditions.(3)As the domestic “gold medal competition”,West Malaysia has not established its own risk management and control theory and risk management and control system in respect of competition risk control.It can be seen that the domestic awareness of marathon event risks is not deep enough and not enough attention is paid.(4)The risk management and control system for large-scale marathon events is based on management disciplines,risk management and other disciplines,as well as the relatively scientific system established by the actual case of West Malaysia and other marathon events in the country,and has certain operability.Suggest:(1)There are similarities and differences between the risk factors of different marathon events.As a case,the West Malaysia can be used as a reference,but it cannot be applied to all marathon events.Specific analysis needs specific analysis to arrive at an accurate conclusion.(2)Event risk managers should standardize the risk quantification standards.The risk quantification standards assumed in this paper are only used as reference.In the actual calculation,more scientific algorithms or formulas should be set to ensure the accuracy of the results according to the specific conditions of the events.(3)Set up a special marathon event risk management agency.There are already relevant risk management agencies for sports events,and marathon events involve many risk factors.However,similar risk management departments have not been established.Therefore,it is recommended that large marathon road races be established ahead of time with risk management and control departments to allow risk management and control to go ahead of the competition.
