Adolescence is a transitional period from children to adults,the period is particularly important for development of students throughout their lives.Numerous experts and scholars predict children painting art development will will enter‘Hibernation'.During the period,if correct guidance can be made,students will be able to ride through adolescence and continue painting.If not,there will be a very common phenomenon that children lose their interests in painting gradually so that they no longer continue to learn painting in the process of their growth.During this period,how should we give proper guidance to help them complete transition smoothly according to characteristics of different students? Author thinks that teacher should develop the consciousness of aesthetic creationcan to help them form the logical observation ability of objective things based on life and strengthening of perception,such as vision and perception.The picture book teaching comes into author view because of its combination of story,literature and art,therefore,author has carried on education practice during the period of master degree studying.This thesis consists of six chapters.Chapter 1: This paper expounds the research significance,background and research status of picture books teaching at home and abroad,and analyzes the feasibility of picture book teaching in junior high school art class.Chapter 2: Clearing this article research scope in view of this research involving concept discrimination of picture book,picture book teaching,picture strip and cartoon.Chapter 3: Teachers and students of the practical school were investigated before educational practice.It is obtained 3 points of view:(1)both students and teachers love picture books;(2)students and teachers do not know much about picture books;(3)teacher's understanding of picture book teaching generally stays in picture book reading teaching.Chapter 4: Combining with the analysis result of questionnaire survey and related literature,the author finds out the problems existing in picture book teaching at present stage,and makes preliminary preparations for educational practice.Chapter 5: The implementation of picture book teaching in junior middle school fine arts class.It is divided into three stages:(1)classical picture book analysis;(2)semi-open picture book creation;(3)picture book creation written and directed by students themselves.Chapter 6: After three stages of practice and analysis of practical results,the following conclusions and suggestions are put forward:(1)picture book creation is suitable for fine arts classroom teaching in junior middle school but diversified guidance including create themes,techniques and exhibitions,etc should be paid attention to;(2)in junior middle school,the guidance of students' thinking mode should be strengthened because of student thinking ways change in picture book teaching;(3)picture book creation not only enriches the diversity of students' works,but also benefits the development of students' individuality.However,teachers should pay attention to the teaching of artistic creation techniques in picture book teaching;(4)reasonable planning teaching time,sufficient time should be provided to students to improve painting skills.
