Historical map is an important part of middle school history textbooks,which is of great significance to middle school history teaching.Papers to the role of the historical map and its use in the middle school history teaching,in the process of the paper is written comprehensive use of literature research,questionnaire survey,and interview method,analysis of the function of historical maps,discusses its position and role of history teaching in middle school,and how to use the historical map teaching provides some Suggestions and opinions.The paper mainly includes the following aspects,the introduction part,explains the background of the selected topic,the research status at home and abroad,the research significance and the research methods.In the main body of the paper,describes the historical maps of the definition,classification and characteristics,and describes the historical map in the role and function of middle school history teaching in detail.Then summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the historical map in the history textbook of the current version of people's education.Examine the current situation of using historical maps for teachers in class by using questionnaires survey and interviews as well as analyze the problems and causes.And proposed the corresponding solution measures to solve these problems,put forward the Suggestions of how to strengthen the middle school historical map teaching at the same time.
