A Survey Study On Independent College Students' Employment Value Orientation In Gansu Province

College graduates are facing more and more serious employment dilemma with the gradual popularization of higher education,and the independent college students'employment particularly encountered greater bottlenecks. The college students' career mentality has a guiding effect on career choice. Employment value orientation is a tendentious attitude which college students pursuit, evaluate and select occupation value, it is an important part of the independent college students' value system. At different times, the independent college students' mentalities and ideas of choosing career are different, and it also highlights the changes of times and the development of the society on the different influence of college students' consciousness and behavior that they hunt for a job. It is a major problem of the college students' employment guidance work that how to correctly understand the new changes of the employment value orientation, then educate or guide them to form the employment views which make them adapt to the development of the socialist market economy and personal development in harmony with social needs. The paper makes random,stratified and sampling survey that 500 junior and senior students of five independent colleges in Gansu province, such as Zhixing College of Northwest Normal University, Changqing School of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, Longqiao School of Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, Lanzhou Jiaotong University Bowen College, College of Technology and Engineering of Lanzhou University of Technology. The paper analyzes the subjective and objective factors which of independent college students' employment value orientation through making use of literature review, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics and theoretical analysis methods. The paper comes up with guiding countermeasures respectively from the government, society, schools, individual and so on, in order to guide the independent college students set up the correct choosing profession values and achieve the smooth employment.The study of survey show that the employment value orientation of Gansu province independent college students tends to utilitarianism, but it is reason that the subjective factors played a leading role in addition to objective factors. How to effectively guide the employment work and strengthen the ideological education of the independent college students, colleges or universities are not only the responsibility, it needs more the joint efforts of the society from all walks of life. It must be noted the way to solve the research methods and operational practice if making this study obtaining the actual effect, which is the focus of the further research direction in the future.
