understand the situation of the school,but also has a vital role to promote students' sports skills,physical fitness and physical functions in all aspects of development.The carrier through after-school sports competitions,can enhance student participation in sports consciousness,especially the collective project can help students to establish relationships,form the good character,learn to manage emotions,cultivate awareness of the rules,can become a bridge of communication between teachers and students better.At present,most junior secondary schools in response to national calls,and the school sports meeting and sports events organized by the class or the grade.Most schools have a competition schedule which can basically be implemented.More than half of the teachers believe that school leaders are attaching importance to sports competitions.2.The main motivations for students to participate in the competitions are �to exercise and enhance physical fitness�,�to improve athletic ability�,�to ease the pressure of learning�,and �to adjust the body and mind".Students don't participate in the competitions are mainly due to "stressful learning and a lack of time","poor sports skills","no favorite sports events" and "poor athletic ability".In most schools,the relevant knowledge of competitions is conveyed to students in the way of oral propaganda,and nearly one-third of the students do not have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant knowledge of after-school sports competitions.Relatively speaking,teachers and students are satisfied with the school sports competitions.3.Most schools carry out after-school sports competitions mainly in the form of the school sports meeting,and some private schools have Fun Games.In the past year,among all the competition events organized by the class and the school,the main events that students participated in were almost the same,namely track and field events and rope skipping.Students didn't show much after-school sports competitions,we should require school leaders' to attach more importance to this issue,carry out more diversified sports competitions,strengthen the propaganda of relevant knowledge,improve students' awareness of participation and the awareness of precaution of sports injury,use the sports facilities in a rational way,strengthen the management,broaden the way of funding,improve the utilization of funds,combine traditional events and fun games,carry out all-member sports meeting,and improve scoring and reward mechanism.
