Study On The Functions Of Ideological And Political Education Of Postgraduate Teaching Volunteers

The college students are the hope of the Chinese nation and the future of our country,they are valuable talent resources in China. In order to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, we should improve students’ scientific and cultural quality and their ideological and political quality. Only in this way, they can become the pillars of the Chinese characteristic socialism business,also be the citizens with lofty ideals,moral integrity,better education and good sense of discipline. At present the universities have attached great importance to students’ ideological and political education and the innovation of the ideological and political education’s content, methods, means, carrier, etc. And the actual effect of ideological and political education has significantly enhanced.Volunteer service is almost an integral practice in civilized society, and college student volunteer is the body of the volunteer service activities. In recent years, the volunteer service activities as a carrier of ideological and political education carried out very well on the university campus. More and more ideological and political education workers pay high attention to the volunteer service. "Postgraduate Teaching Volunteers" is one of the programs of western-plan, it attracts a large number of excellent graduating students. It is the beneficial exploration on cultivating the inter-disciplinary talents with cultivation of the known conditions, dedication and high-quality. And it also plays a special role in carrying out ideological and political education’s work and carrying forward the national spirit.This paper has sorted out the basic knowledge of Postgraduate Teaching Volunteers, such as the rise of the background, the characteristics of volunteer service and the function of ideological and political education, and analyzed the functions of ideological and political education of postgraduate volunteers. This paper is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction, mainly introduced the background, purpose and significance of this paper, the research status at home and abroad, research methods and innovation. The second part mainly defined some basic concepts related to current research. The third part mainly condensed the function of ideological and political education of Postgraduate Teaching Volunteers. The fourth part, discussed how function of ideological and political education of Postgraduate Teaching Volunteers missing in practice, and analyzed its causes in detail. The fifth part, on the basis of above analysis, illustrated the feasibility of function implementation of the Postgraduate Teaching Volunteers. This analysis is from two aspects----external demand and internal motivation. Finally, the main measures are proposed to solve this problem. First of all,we should expand the field of ideological and political education function of Postgraduate Teaching Volunteers. Secondly, strengthen the guidance of organization of the Youth League.Then, increase the intensity of training for members of Postgraduate Teaching Volunteers,improve their ability to participate in volunteer service. Finally,establish accountability mechanisms, increasing Postgraduate Volunteers awareness.The graduates take an active part in the Postgraduate Volunteers. In practice, they realized the self education, improved the ideological awareness, and exercised their talents. In this paper, the theories of ideological and political education function were studied and refined. The author hopes that the function of Postgraduate Volunteers will be brought into full play, and have a sustainable development. It can provide an effective support for the ideological and political education work in colleges and universities.
