The Impact Of Parents Learning On The Family Life Quality And Its Implications For Policy From The Perspective Of Family Capital Theory

As the industrialization,informationization and urbanization progress,the traditional functions and the modern needs of the family in our country is relatively out-of-balance and the functions of family appears weakening,externalization,socialization and other trends.When the society has lag response to these changes,especially there are inadequate family policies in conformity with it,family life will face a series of pressure and risk.Therefore,promoting the research about parents learning and self-improvement for the sake of improving the social adaptation ability of the family and family life quality is of great practical significance to establish study-type family,realize the ability of family and promote family life quality and social harmony and stability.This thesis researched the current situation of parents learning in our families and analyzed the impact of parents learning on family life quality based on family capital theory.On this foundation,some relevant systems and policy recommendations were given to promote and improve parents learning.Firstly,this thesis carded of related concepts on the basic of a large of number of literature and analysis,such as parents learning,family life quality.And some relative theories were chosen for theoretical foundation like the general theory of parents learning,family capital theory,adult learning motivation theory,lifelong education theory and developmental family policy theory.Secondly,the study deeply analyzed the relationship between family capital and parents learning,the general characteristics of parental learning based on family capital,the relationship between parents learning and family life quality and the impact of parents learning on the family life quality based on family capital by questionnaire survey and interview method.Finally,on this basis,a series of systems and policy recommendations were proposed to promote parents learning based on family capital theory.The research found that family economy,human and social capital have significant impact on parents learning.The modern features of parents learning includes family development-centered,learning content diversification,facing multiple learning disabilities and so on.It also analyzed the parents' different perception in the relationship of learning and family life education based on different family capital.For specific performance,the parents from the developed cities,higher level of education and engaged in knowledge or technology-intensive occupations paid more attention to the learning's improved functions for family life quality.Correlation analysis from the impact of parents learning on family life quality based on family capital suggested that there was significant negative relationship between the needs of parents learning and family life quality satisfaction.The multivariate regression analysis forthe impact of parents learning on family life quality showed that there were following characteristics of predicting the degree of satisfaction with the family life quality variables in family capital:the developed areas,a political identity,knowledge or technical occupations,fully completed family structure.In terms of parents learning contents,"personal interests and skills contents" could predict the degree of satisfaction with the family life quality.Based on the above empirical analysis,the family policies supplies of improving parents learning could be provided to increase economic,human and social capital stock,such as developing system of paid educational leave,providing education and training vouchers,establishing corporate university developing the diversified learning resources,constructing the mutual helping networks and community learning centers.
