In 2012,Zhejiang province issued "deepening in ordinary high school curriculum reform plan",began to deepen ordinary high school curriculum reform.New curriculum reform requires energetically promote elective courses and classes,establishing multi-level,diversified,selection of course system and independent choice of curriculum system,create conditions for students’ autonomous learning and personality development.Thus,ordinary high school new curriculum reform emphasizes on students’ selection in the courses,requires to promote elective courses and classes.Elective courses and classes go smoothly will promote to achieve the goal of new curriculum reform of high school.Under the background of elective courses and classes,administrative classes and teaching classes of ordinary high school appeared at the same time,so the original head teacher turns to be the head teacher of the administrative class against this background.lead their work to change.Now their work comes to be different,they facing a lot of different problems and challenges.In this article,I put the "Research on the Role of the Head Teacher under the background of elective courses and classes" as a research problem.First of all,through the study of a series of literature,summed up a variety of roles that the head teacher played under the background of the traditional teaching group and analyzed these roles.Then,select the head teachers of administrative classes of F high school of Zhejiang province as the research object,through the interview of all head teachers and observation of the part of head teachers in the school,summarizing the status quo that the roles the head teacher plays under the background of elective courses and classes,then analyses the status quo.Through the interview data and the observation of the part of head teachers in the school processing and analysis,found under the background of elective courses and classes,the supervisory ability of the head teacher of students in learning has weakened,the head teacher’ understanding of the daily performance of students is not enough,the evaluation of students is also more difficult,the head teacher authority faces a larger challenge,the head teacher does not put enough attention to students’ psychological health care,the administrative class’ management becomes more difficult,students start to lack the sense of belonging to the class and the collective sense of honor,the communication between the head teacher,course teachers and parents becomes more difficult.’The problems and challenges that the head teachers meet and face under the background of elective courses and classes lead to the head teacher’s director and manager role weakening,the sense of students’ psychological health care is weak,the communicator role performance does not reach the designated position.Finally,according to the conclusion,two suggestions are put forward in this paper:First,to recongnize the head teacher’s role under the background of elective courses and classes again.The head teacher’s director and manager role need to continue to perform,the sense of students’ psychological health care need to improve,the communicator role need to fulfill in place,the head teacher needs to increase the role of student growth instructor.Second,improve the ability of the head teacher to perform the role.Such as to carry out the school-based training,to strengthen the head teacher’s guidance to work practice,to organize further education of the head teacher,etc.The Research on the Role of the Head Teacher under the background of elective courses and classes has an important theoretical and practical significance.In this paper,through a series of national policy documents and scholars have done to the roles that the head teacher played under the background of the traditional teaching group,summed up a variety of roles that the head teacher played under the background of the traditional teaching group and analyzed these roles,not only helps the head teacher knows the various roles that themselves need to play,but also enriches the contents of the head teacher’s role to a certain extent.It also makes this research has an important theoretical significance.Through to the head teacher’s interview and observation,summarizing the status quo that the roles the head teacher plays under the background of elective courses and classes,then analyses the status quo,comes to some conclusions,finally throws out some related suggestions,it also makes this research has an important practical significance.Therefore,this research has a positive practical significance to promote the roles that the head teacher plays under the background of elective courses and classes go smoothly and to achieve the goal of ordinary high school new curriculum reform.
