Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Primary School Head Teacher Competenc

As a teacher who is fully responsible for class work,the importance of a class teacher is self-evident.The competence of a head teacher affects the quality of running a school and the development and growth of students.In order to understand the current situation of primary school head teachers’ competency,this study selected primary school head teachers in H City as the research object for analysis.The analysis of the survey shows that the competency of classroom teachers in primary schools in H is at an upper-middle level.They mainly have the following problems in their daily work: professional knowledge and professional skills need to be strengthened,interpersonal communication skills need to be improved,classroom management skills need to be further improved and achievement motivation levels are low.The main reasons for this are that the education administration lacks classroom teacher skills training for teacher trainees,lacks effective pre-service training for classroom teachers,does not pay attention to building a team of key classroom teachers,and the incentive mechanism formulated needs to be improved;the training for classroom teachers in schools is superficial,the implementation of classroom teacher evaluation is inadequate,and the spiritual care for classroom teachers is lacking;classroom teachers have outdated educational concepts,lack organizational skills and management abilities,and do not pay enough attention to self-improvement.They lack organizational skills and management abilities and do not attach enough importance to self-improvement.In view of this,this thesis proposes specific strategies around how to improve the competency of primary school class teachers in H City,namely,the education administration department should optimize the teacher training system,schools should improve the management of class teachers,and teachers should continue to learn to promote self-growth.
