The knowledge in the traditional curriculum is classified to be tough,emphasizing the logic within the subject system,and easily resulting in the separation between different subject of knowledge,between knowledge and student life,knowledge and social life.In the era of rapid social development and frequent information updating,the drawbacks of the sub-courses are becoming more and more obvious,curriculum integration is to be a way to make up the division curriculum.Curriculum integration is relative to the traditional curriculum division,refers to "the process that make the differentiated elements and their constituents in the school teaching system form an organic link and become a whole." Curriculum integration as a practical activity finally must be implemented in specific teaching,often take a "theme unit" as the basic unit.What this paper research is the problem of thematic unit teaching design under the perspective of "curriculum integration ".In this paper,"curriculum integration" is more embodied as a concept to guide teaching design,rather than the process of curriculum design;teaching design mainly refers to a plan for teaching activities,which contains the target design,the selection and organization of teaching content,the evaluation design and so on.This paper first discusses the reform of new curriculum 's appeal for"curriculum integration",to seek theoretical support for this study perspective.The new curriculum reform'need for curriculum integration reflects in two aspects.One is proposed to set up comprehensive curriculums in order to cultivate a complete person,the other is proposed to pay attention to the contact between different disciplines.Secondly,this paper combines "curriculum integration" and "unit teaching design" on the basis of their theories,in order to explore the characteristics and principles of thematic unit teaching design from the perspective of "curriculum integration".The former is external expression,the latter is internal thought;the former is static,the latter is dynamic.This paper thinks that the external characteristics of thematic unit teaching design from the perspective of"curriculum integration" are embodied as holistic,process and open.The internal principle is to integrate the knowledge among subjects,and take criterion for curriculum as the basis;to integrate knowledge and students,and take experience as the method;to integrate knowledge and society,and take society as the issue.Here the characteristics and principles are just theoretically discussed thematic unit teaching design from the perspective of "curriculum integration",which is abstract.Sothis paper has tocollect specific cases in reality,to analyze the realization of the curriculum integration and the degree of realization,and to explore its advantages and disadvantages.By the way of analyzing three types of this cases which named the single disciplinarythematic unit teaching design,multidisciplinary thematic unit teaching design,and interdisciplinary thematic unit teaching design,the paper found that:with the intensity increase of curriculum integration,the selection and organization of teaching content is facing more and more difficulties.Curriculum integration gives students opportunities to experience and practice,at the same time,also limits the knowledge learning which provided by criterion for curriculum of every subject.In this basis,this paper proposed advices in internal and external aspects.On the one hand,according to the advantages and disadvantages of division and integration,teachers should combine the thoughts of them to guide teaching design in different type of classes;on the other hand,curriculum integration should try to break through its own defects,to design interdisciplinary thematic unit teaching under criterion for curriculum of every subject.This paper adopts the method proposed by Susan and Rebecca,first decompose criterion for curriculum of every subject,and then aggregate them.
