Because of the influence of natural, historical, economic, political and cultural factors, the local people's lack of attention to Chinese teaching determines the arduousness and complexity of Chinese teaching in middle schools in western China.Therefore, it is particularly important to pay attention to the present situation of middle school language teaching in western remote ethnic areas and explore the effective strategies to improve this situation.This paper investigates the status quo of middle school language teaching in the western remote ethnic areas (taking the Tibetan and Qiang areas in Tanchang County,Gansu Province) through the combination of questionnaire and interview survey, and finds out some main problems, including the local characteristics This paper puts forward the strategies to improve the current situation of Chinese teaching in middle schools in the western part of ethnic minority areas in western China.
