Research Status Of Campus Football In China

Campus football is the mark of a new round of football reform in China, and has attracted considerable attention since it carried out nationwide in 2009. With the promotion of the national youth campus football activities,the number of literatures on campus football and campus football culture is increasing day by day. Based on the CNKI database, using campus football and campus football culture as the keywords of the theme, this study found 1173 and 132 literatures for each theme respectively.Taking the literatures as the research objects, from the point of view of the development of campus football culture, this paper used method including literature study, bibliometric and social network analysis to make a comprehensive and systematic statistical analysis of the number of the published paper, journals, authors and their institutions, foundation, research methods, the content of the researches and the conclusions. Furthermore, this paper also made a visual correlation analysis of the authors, the research methods, the research contents and the research conclusions by Net Draw software.The conclusions are as follows:1. Since 2009, effected by the policy of promoting the campus football, the number of the studies on campus football grew explosively, however, the number of the literatures with the topic of campus football culture is few. As the support of the campus culture construction and the breakpoint of the physical education culture construction, the campus football has not drawn enough attention.2. The publication rate of the papers with the theme of campus football is obviously influenced by the style and the interest of the journals, and the involvement of other journals of education has enriched the research contents of campus football.However, the number of the journals that published the literatures on campus football is relatively few, which is not conductive to the development of campus football culture research.3. In the terms of the authors and their institutions, the number of the paper authors is mainly single or double, lack of team work. The study on campus football did not make effective use of the advantages of corporation among different research teams for further research.4. Sports colleges and normal universities are important institutions of researches on campus football. Because of the features of these two types of colleges and universities in specialty and comprehensiveness, the normal universities are the main force of the studies on campus football culture, meanwhile, the sports colleges did more researches on campus football from the aspects of policy and competition system,but the researches on campus football culture from this type of colleges is rare.5. The methods of relevant literatures are changeless, mainly literature study and investigation, which restricts the development of the study on these two topics.6. The literatures on campus football and campus football culture involve extensive contents and conclusions, including the substance, institution and spirit of the campus football culture, and the contents and conclusions of the studies are mainly in the aspects of substance and institution, and neglect the spiritual culture. Most of these studies focus on the top-level design and the present situation, lack of a macro understanding of the campus football from the cultural perspective, and these studies have rather high relevance with each other in contents and conclusions. Moreover, the core issue of the campus football, campus football culture, is rarely mentioned and the existing researches are not deep enough.Based on the research conclusions, this paper puts forward the following suggestions:1. Enhance the study of campus football, and at the same time, reinforce the research on campus football culture.2. On the basis of ensuring the quality of the research, publish more papers studied on campus football, in order to provide a platform for promoting the related research.3. Experts and scholars in various research fields need to strengthen the cooperation of and actively participate in the research of campus football culture.4. Sports colleges and normal colleges can break through the boundaries of the region and system, and cooperate and mutually share the benefit with each other, in order to enhance the study of campus football based on the existing achievement.5. Experts and scholars need to take advantages of the inter discipline, using the interdisciplinary research methods to format new patterns of research, to study in depth.6. Deepen the researches on campus football from the perspective of the development of campus football culture. The main task of next stage of studies on campus football is to enhance the research on campus football culture in the aspect of campus football spiritual culture.
