Research On Farmers' Perception Of Environmental Risks

Now more and more rural environmental problems are taking place,environmental risks in rural areas are also widely concerned in society.With environmental problems became increasingly serious,environmental risks in rural areas are undergoing new changes,which will not only harm the health and daily life of farmers,but also affect the stability and development of rural society.Therefore,it has great practical sense in researching farmers' perception of environmental risksThis paper adopts qualitative research method.In terms of specific methods,it combines with interview,observation,literature method and other research methods.Selecting A Village in Southern AnHui Province as investigated spots.This paper uses the theories of Psychometric paradigm of Risk and Cultural theory of Risk to research the farmers' perception of environmental risks and tries to answer the question of "the process of farmers' perception of environmental risks".This paper introduces farmers' perception of environmental risks from three aspects: Types of environmental Risks,Consequences of environmental Risks,Causes of environmental Risks.According to the interview date,this study found farmers perceived environmental risks mainly rely on their own subjective feelings,and their cognitive process exists some common qualities and differences.In this paper,there are many intrinsic factors and external factors during the process of farmers' perception of environmental risks.Intrinsic factors include the level of environmental concern,the accumulation of environmental experience and the storage of environmental knowledge.External factors include the direction of rural public sentiment,interpersonal interactions,dissemination of media information and government policy advocacy etc.Finally,on the basis of summarizing the whole research work,this study get two conclusions: the path of farmers' perception of environmental risks,and the analysis of farmers' perception of environmental risks needs to deeply anchored in particular environment.Through this investigation and study,I hope to have a clear understanding of farmers' environmental risk perception,in order to cause the attention to the rural environmental risks and the rural environmental problems.
