| President Xi Jinping has placed great hopes on our national sports enterprise,and thus has put it in the 18 th CPC National Congress as follows: “We will launch with extensive dimension the national sports and fitness program,so as to promote comprehensive development of mass sports as well as competitive sports?” In recent years,the outstanding athletes of C hina ha ve exerted excellent results in the international sports events,and have won many gold medals that rank among the top countries,and hence China is hailed as “nation of gold medals”? However,the development of China's sports enterprise is not proportiona l to the abundant medals we won? Thus,it is imperative for C hina to cultivate international innovative sports talents in an effort to fulfill the ambition of becoming an international “sports power”?“Sports is an industry that is essentially symbolic of social development and human progress,embodying the strength of comprehensive national power and social civilization?” As the former president of International O lympic Committee Juan Antonio Samaranch has pointed out: it is a general tendency that the competitive sports of various continents will be institutionalized,and outstanding sports talents will in the future be cultivated in universities? Ever since the Beijing O lympic Games in 2008,China has held a series of grand international sports events,which have quickened and deepened communication and cooperation with international sports organizations as well as other countries around the world? Nevertheless,the actual number of participants from C hina involved in such events is slim,and C hina has little say in the process? Some of the existing competitive sports programs are not strong enough to meet the standard of “sports giant” and “sports power”? Therefore,it is of extreme significance to speed up the cultivation of international sports talents? For the time being,some universities have already commenced to try out such international talents cultivation programs as Sports English,International Sports Management and International Sports Enterprise? However,there are not adequate comprehensive theory systems and training patterns? The mode of cultivation in international sports talents' ideological and political quality,as well as their physical competence,still remains to be further explored and studied?This thesis,mainly through an analysis of compositional elements and modes of cultivation of the current international sports talents' ideological and political quality as well as their physical competence,by highlighting sportsmanship and sports spirit,aims to put forward the approaches and methods of sports talents cultivation? Furthermore,such approaches and methods will serve as illuminating examples and references for colleges and universities to correspondingly cultivate targeted international sports talents?... |
