Since the new curriculum has reformed,biology teaching in senior middle school has made significant progress in theoretical research and practical exploration.Biology classes in senior middle school become more active with vitality.At the level of teaching operation,numerous useful explorations appear in implementation of teaching strategies,innovation and use of teaching methods,as well as engagement model between students and teachers,filling the gaps of education and teaching theories of biology in senior high school in China.However,limited by the realistic problem of college entrance examination,biology classes in senior middle school constantly appear to be blue with oaths with cramming education and a stream of tests.The old teaching model of explaining,practicing,correcting,and testing still has its place.As such,how to give full consideration to the classroom reform of new curriculum idea under the premise of ensuring “college entrance examination benefits”,becomes one of the biggest concerns for the front-line teachers who are wild about education reform.Under this background,“life-oriented teaching” is born at the right moment and is highly respected.Based on the reality of educational reform and development of Huangshi City in Hubei Province,this paper mainly uses anonymous questionnaire survey method to make an empirical study on the teaching status of life-oriented teaching of biology in senior high school in Huangshi.This paper grasps the opinions and attitudes of students towards life-oriented teaching of biology as well as knowing about the basic situation that teachers implement life-oriented teaching.The applications and development characteristics of “life-oriented teaching” in biology classrooms in Huangshi are understood and analyzed from multiple perspectives.This paper also realizes the research results and practices of teaching strategies.On this basis,this paper explores the problems and the causes of implementing life-oriented teaching strategy of biology in senior high school.This paper specifically proposes theoretical and practical solutions,applying it to the practical teachings of the experiment group and the control group.The teaching result of implementinglife-oriented teaching is analyzed comparatively.This paper puts forward conclusive reflection through the research results on the basis of experiments,providing theoretical reference for the selection and practice of life-oriented teaching strategy in senior high school in China.
