Through the development and implementation of the “Hainan brocade culture " art curriculum in junior middle school,this paper aims to explore the effectiveness and significance of cultivating students' cultural comprehension by using local resources to propose the concrete process and method to make use of the local resources to develop the art curriculum.In the process of case study,we complete the development of the Li Brocade art curriculum resources by five following major steps including preliminary investigation to gather the resources information of Hainan,selection of the local resources with teaching value,formulation of the teaching goal and teaching plan,design of the unitized research-type teaching activities,teaching practice and evaluation.The third chapter,the key content of this article,discusses in detail the process to approach the development and teaching of Li Brocade art curriculum and takes examples to specifically describe organization and implementation of a particular course.Meanwhile,choosing the experimental method as the main method,the paper takes the Unit Curriculum of introducing the brocade art as the research tool and chooses the students in Class 14,Grade Eighth in an ordinary middle school in Haikou,Hainan as the research object to learn students' performing local culture before and after this art course to explore the the difference of their performance.During the experimental process,the researchers used the mind map taken the "Li Brocade" as the central word to conduct pre-test and post-test among the students.Then experimental data obtained are analyzed and elaborated by SPSS statistical software.This paper explores the advantages and significance of the development of curriculum resources of Brocade in cultivating students 'artistic and cultural comprehension in junior middle school,further enhances people's awareness to strengthen students' education of local culture,providing some references and advice for the future practice of local culture education.At the end of the article,it points out some difficulties and problems in the development of Li Brocade curriculum resources and the cultivation of students' artistic comprehension injunior high school thus puts forward some follow-up thoughts.
