Humans are individuals with consciousness, among which self-consciousness is an important part, while physical self is the basic part of self-consciousness and is an important concept throughout the whole life course, which has a profound influence upon the life, the study, and the outlook on life, world and value of individuals. Cheerleading is a kind of healthy and positive sports, and has important significance in promoting the physical selves of college students, but the current study still lacks the relevant practical support. Therefore, based on the practice of cheerleading, this research has selected 60 ordinary female college students and divided them into two groups at random: the experiment group and the control group. Aimed at discussing the influence of cheerleading teaching on the physical self, this research has employed the "Physical Self Measurement Questionnaire"(PSDQ) and designed between groups, MAN OVA and other method is used to analyze the date The results of this research shows that:1.General subjects and two groups(within the group) before and after the experiment the change trend of the physical self and each sub-dimension is: the health, coordination,physical activity, body fat, sports ability, the whole body, appearance,flexibility,self-esteem present a tend of larger rises,the power present a tend of smaller rises,but the Endurance present a tend of decline.2.By analyzing the pre-test and the post-test within the experiment group, it is presents very prominent discrepancy(P<0.01) in the sub-dimensions of health,coordination, physical activity, body obesity, sports ability, whole body, appearance,flexibility, and self-esteem, but presents no discrepancy in power and endurance(P>0.05).3.By analyzing the data, it is found that testes of both cheerleading teaching group and aerobics teaching group have presented very prominent discrepancy(P<0.01) in the sub-dimensions of sports activity,appearance,self-esteem,sports ability and the whole body,and discrepancy in health, coordination, flexibility(P<0.05). And no discrepancy in power,endurance,and body obesity(P>0.05).and from the overall,experiment group is superior to control group.
