Nowadays high school mathematics education and teaching has already been paid high attention form teachers, students and parents . As for HuBei province, the students of Grade 1 in senior high schools of Enshi tujia and miao autonomous prefecture apparently showed the difficulty in learning mathematics. As so far, the mathematics teachers in senior high schools of Enshi mountainous area are facing a difficult and urgent task that is how to find the reason why the Grade 1 students have difficulty in learning math and to find the effective strategies to improve the mathematics learning to essentially change the tough situation in Grade 1 students' mathematics learning. On the bases of analyzing the times background, geographical location,and the main conflicts between families and the society, this paper through the ways of questionnaire survey, interviews, summarizing practical teaching experience concludes the present learning situation of Grade 1 students' mathematics learning in Enshi mountainous area.It mainly includes the following six points: utilitarian of learning purpose, difficulty in mathematics learning, the obvious differentia of students' mathematics achievement, the whole students' bad learning habits , the whole weak mathematics foundation, and the simplification of the criteria of evaluation. The cause of this situation mainly conclude the following reasons: The lag of social and economic development which leads to the poor learning environment, the poor connection between middle school and senior high school education, imbalance of faculty or the large room for improving the whole teacher's level, the disconnection between teaching materials and examination requirements ,and the self-features of the high school mathematics textbooks. There still are some others factors, such as the lack of affective education which results in puppy love and affects children' study. This situation will crack students' interest in learning math, bring the harm to students" confidence and form the chain reaction so that make influence in the study of other courses. It even can enlarge the gap between children' study the mountain and developing areas, eventually make difference to their future development.In the view of the above questions, this paper proposes some effective strategies,according to the Cognitive development theory of Biggs and Collis', Bloom's effective teaching theory, the theory of psychological development of senior high school students,Bruner's learning theory and constructivist teaching theory. Here are some examples of the strategies : improving students' interest in learning mathematics , creating a good learning atmosphere, paying attention to students' psychological development and ideological trend, and teachers should impart the knowledge accurately , give the class back to students, strengthen the cultivation of the good study habits. The school should strengthen the construction of teachers ability, and improve teachers' artistic appreciation.On the basis of author's own teaching practice and research, the study of high student mathematics study in mountain area of this paper mainly adopts the methods of sampling survey and summarizing. Standing from the present math learning situation,this paper investigates and analyzes the causes, illustrates the harmfulness of this situation, finally summarizes the related solutions in order to give some reference to the improvement of Enshi mountainous area's mathematics education in Grade 1 of senior high school.
