Status And Strategic Research Of Rural High School In Enshi Tujia Traditional Sports

Abstract:In order to get a thorough knowledge to the current situation of the countryside middle schools in Hubei Province to promote traditional ethnic physical education. In this article, Tujia traditional sports which are carried out in the countryside middle schools of Enshi Autonomous Prefecture of Hubei Province as the research object, using literature, questionnaire investigation, field visits, we have carried out a wide investigation to physical education, especial traditional ethnic physical education, from two respects of teachers and students, The research results reveal(1) in Enshi Prefecture of rural middle school PE teacher shortage, non-sports graduate teachers accounted for67%, of which only4%of learning traditional national sports.(2)he shortage of venues and equipment. Surveyed16rural middle schools, Not a school has a football field, volleyball and indoor venues; Each school has a basketball court, but they are the cement space, the basket fell into disrepair; only two schools with400meters of track and field venues; there are traditional ethnic sports equipment accounting for9.7%.(3)The most of rural secondary school teachers and students in Enshi do not understand Tujia traditional sports culture. Only2.7percent of physical education teachers and19.8percent of students are very understanding of the Tujia traditional sports. However,10%of the students,8.6%of the teachers are unknown of the Tujia traditional sports at all.(4) Enshi rural secondary schools in physical education on the traditional sports of the Tujia projects categories set too small, concentrated in the Qing Jiang dance (92%), Rocker land boat (81%) Shuttlecock (72%), hoops (54%), playing gyro (54%), vault children (45%),Less than20%of the Waving Dance with deep Tujia traditional cultural characteristics has been adopted by students.No school adopted Rou lian xiang,the cotton ball, walking on stilts, Sa Er He ere. The highest demand for teachers is the Rou lianxiang, Sa Er He.(5) In Enshi Prefecture of rural secondary schools68.8%of the school extra-curricular activities organized Tujia traditional sports, but only nine projects are carried out, focusing on the Gyro (100%),Hoop(100%), Shuttlecock (93.8%), Jumping Arch (87.5%); For students,85.4percent of students prefer Tujia traditional sports, But only23.7%of the students involved in the Tujia traditional sports actually.For factors that affect the current Enshi Rural High School in Tujia traditional sports to carry out:The examination-oriented education, Lack of Tujia traditional sports teachers,lack of Tujia traditional sports teaching materials, Tujia traditional sports funding is not enough,Government does not have enough publicity Proposing countermeasures following development:raising awareness, changing concepts, confirming its position; making full use of social resources, taking full advantage of the resources of the local traditional sports; rational integration of the Tujia traditional sports resources; To strengthen teachers’ building in the Tujia traditional sports; The educational administrative department should strengthen macro adjustments and controls.
