A Study On The Contemporary Development Of Guan Gong Culture In Jingzhou,Hubei Province

Guan Gong, as a meritorious and outstanding general during the period of the Three Kingdoms, is widely respected by people. Guan Gong belief has become the largest,most widely distributed, and the most influential folk belief.After experiencing the chase of dynastic rulers and widely respected by Confucianism Taoist and Buddhism, Guan Gong has gradually become a "Wu saints" standed side by side with Confucius. This cultural phenomenon which has occurred in the folk, and had a blowout development,has attracted the attention of scholars because of its particularity .Hubei Jingzhou has a long history of Guan Gong culture, as a city which has witnessed the peak of his military career, Jingzhou had been guarded by Guan Gong for more than 10 years, its Guan Gong worship has a long history and has been widely circulated.The legend of the Three Kingdoms in Hubei and Guanling temple in Dangyang which belongs to Jingzhou in the history, have been included in the national intangible cultural heritage protection list.Hubei Jingzhou Guan Gong legend, has also been included in the provincial intangible cultural heritage protection list.In this context,the further development of Hubei Jingzhou Guan Gong culture is particularly urgent,Hubei Jingzhou has abundant resources of Guan Gong cultural, but its cultural tourism is not prosperous. In order to change the situation, Hubei Jingzhou now spends large sums of money to build Gu,an Gong Yi Park, intending to take this as an opportunity to promote the development of Guan Gong culture in Hubei Jingzhou, This article aims at exploring the historical origins of Hubei Jingzhou and Guan Gong, analyzing the present situation and existing problems of Guan Gong culture in Hubei Jingzhou, and seeking the feasible way to promote the development of Guan Gong culture in Hubei Jingzhou.Due to the short time of opening of Guan Gong Yi Park, there has been less research on its related research, this article has some innovation in the perspective. In addition, the author has repeatedly doing field research in Hubei Jingzhou and had the honor to interview the teacher Bai Hourong in Institute of Art research in Hubei Jingzhou and the state-level successor of intangible cultural heritage Mr. Xiong Yuan Gui, thus having a more profound understanding of Hubei Jingzhou Guan Gong culture development status.The article mainly uses the literature analysis method, the field research method and the inductive analysis method, and is divided into five parts altogether. The introduction includes the research background and significance, research situation analysis, research content and methods, and innovations.The second part mainly discusses the indissoluble bounds of Hubei Jingzhou and Guan Gong.The third part mainly analyzes the present situation of Guan Gong culture in Hubei Jingzhou.The fourth part mainly discusses the problems in the process of the development of Guan Gong culture in Hubei Jingzhou.The fifth part mainly focus on the study of Hubei Jingzhou Guan Gong culture development countermeasures.The conclusion part of the article makes a simple summary and prospects for the future.
