The practical texts reading is an important part in the study of senior high school,which plays an indispensable role in developing students' qualities in language and abilities to think creatively that can not be replaced by literatures reading teaching.However,the obsolete teaching concept and the absence of awareness of pragmatics lead to the examination-oriented texts reading teaching which is detached from the experience of reality and students.As a result,it is impossible to call forth students' initiative and enthusiasm as well as the low efficiency.The basic goal of Chinese curriculum is the usage of Chinese language and characters.In other words,the Chinese teaching is exactly the teaching of pragmatics.The teaching of pragmatics is not only closely related to the curriculum of Chinese teaching of senior high school,but also serves as the way to develop the communicative competence required by society,as well as the core qualities in the new era.The reconstruction of teaching from the view of pragmatics can fundamentally change the present teaching and improve the teaching efficiency so as to establish students' abilities and qualities in pragmatics.This paper includes four parts,which combines teaching practice with the pragmatics,emphasizing the objectives,content,methods and evaluation of practical texts reading teaching in senior high school.The introduction explains the bases and values of the research topic,and the definitions of practical texts,pragmatics and pragmatics-based teaching,the collation and explanation of the research status quo.It aims at clarifying thinking and methods so as to show its advantages at the perspective and content.The first charter is the research on the present situation of practical texts reading teaching in senior high school.According to the analysis of the questionnaires for students and teachers,the problems in its learning and teaching appear,and then we will find out the causes.The second charter expounds the theoretical basis and epoch connotation for theestablishment of pragmatics.First of all,pragmatics has substantial basis in philosophy,learning theory and linguistics,not to mention its strong practice foundation,which is the crystallization of collating the century–old Chinese curriculum.In addition,because of the global education situation in developing students' core qualities,the pragmatics is endowed with new concept.Therefore,the pragmatics–based Chinese teaching is not only the essential requirement of Chinese teaching but also the inevitable demand of the times.The third chapter is the practice research on practical texts reading teaching.Based on pragmatics,we are supposed to give full explanations of objectives,content,methods and learning evaluation of practical texts reading teaching and try reconstructing a new one on the basis of teaching practice.
