The self-reading text in Classical Chinese is one of the most integral parts among the self-reading texts compiled by MOE of China in the junior high schools,which also is a significant factor to cultivate and train students' classical Chinese reading abilities.However,there is a misunderstanding on teachers' opinions about the characteristics and value of the self-reading texts in classical Chinese in current teaching,resulting in the Classical Chinese self-reading texts teaching practiced in an improper way,which doesn't fulfill the purpose of the learning material."Non-indicative" teaching is one type of teaching method that highlights the self-learning capability of students and appropriate assistance and guidance from teachers,and the core of this method coincides with intentions of the Classical Chinese self-reading texts,which is practical significant for the Classical Chinese self-reading texts teaching.Thus,based on grasping the traits,value and current teaching situation of the Classical Chinese self-reading texts,this paper is to develop "non-indicative" teaching principles and strategies for self-reading texts in Classical Chinese.Meanwhile,in order to solve the teaching difficulties,realize the value of self-reading texts in Classical Chinese and intentions of the editors,this paper is to take some specific texts for examples to conduct the teaching design for self-reading texts in Classical Chinese.This paper is divided into six parts to discuss the subject of "non-indicative" teaching of self-reading texts in classical Chinese.First,the introduction includes the following parts: the research background,significance,ideas and so on,which also defines the related concepts.The second part is mainly talking about the edit traits and value of the self-reading texts in Classical Chinese in this Chinese textbook version.In the third part,the current situation and the reason for the self-reading texts in Classical Chinese teaching are investigated and analyzed with questionnaire and interviews.The fourth part introduces "non-indicative" teaching after clarifying the above characteristics,values and problems,which then expounds the feasibility of putting "non-indicative" teaching into the classical Chinese self-reading texts compiled by MOE of China.The fifth part is mainly talking about the "non-indicative" teaching principles and strategies for self-reading texts in Classical Chinese,whose key point is to analyze the strategies in detail.Finally,in the last part,guided by the "non-indicative" teaching principles and strategies,I carry on some corresponding teaching designs according to sorts of different the classical Chinese self-reading texts compiled by MOE of China,which is hoped to provide some useful reference for teachers.
