Mathematics is the science of researching quantitative relation and space form in the real world,and it's also the science of "number" and "shape".Mathematics has strong ness,drawing is a bridge connection the image thinking and abstract thinking.If students use of drawing to solve complex problem,it can be simplified and direct.The ability of drawing as a special kind of mathematical ability plays an important role in improving the students' ability of problem solving and thinking quality.Paper is divided into five parts:The first part,the background of the research from the enlightenment of era development,the importance of drawing ability and the lack of drawing ability training in the teaching;the current situation of the research about drawing thinking ability from the study of effects of drawing,mathematics figure and drawing thinking,both in China and abroad.The second part,the formation of the concept about drawing thinking,and the basic structure of drawing thinking ability;the significance of studying mathematics in elementary school for developing drawing thinking ability,from the characteristics of pupils' age,problem solving ability and the development of mathematical thinking ability.The third part,it is the focus of this article.to understand the current situation of the development of drawing thinking ability and the presence of that question;to understand the cause of the formation of these problems by the interview.The fourth part,according to the survey,there are four main influencing factors,the ignorence of drawing in teachers' subjectivity,the lack of the development of teaching materials,the shortage of the skills in drawing teaching,and the ignorence of using the drawing in students' study.The fifth part,In view of the above factors,to proposed the strategies of developing students ability to draw to think in teaching,these strategies include,displaying the values of drawing to strengthen the consciousness of drawing;grasping the teaching material as a whole to permeate graphics language;attaching great importance to the teaching process to teach drawing method;giving autonomy of drawing to develope of mathematical thinking.Hoping the study can provide a reference for the development of the drawing thinking ability in the elementary school mathematics teaching.
