A Comparative Study Of Domestic University Rankings

Since the first World University Rankings into the public view and emulate,forming a trend.The appearance of university rankings with the objective of China's higher education requirements for construction of high level university in China has brought opportunities and challenges hitherto unknown.This paper selects four representative rankings: China Management Science Research Institute Wu Shulian presided over the "China University Evaluate Rankings",China alumni network released the " Chinese University Rankings ",evaluate the comprehensive competitiveness of colleges and universities in China Network Limited company issued the " China University Rankings " and with Qiu Junpin as the representative of the flat Wuhan University science evaluation "Chinese Research Center released".After the production and development of the rankings are combed,then the students of Jiangxi agricultural university were investigated and analyzed the influence of the university rankings on the students' choice of school.Followed by comparative analysis of the top four,in the course of development,the four ranking purposes are similar,the main difference lies in three aspects: origin,sustainability and emphasis;in the index system and weights,due to relatively large differences,the article focuses on the four index system is modified,then comparative analysis,found that the four index system of similar structure but complex degree a content index has a strong consistency,attach importance to scientific research.At the same time,taking Jiangxi Agricultural University as a case,through the analysis of university rankings Jiangxi Agricultural University level of running a school,mainly studies the comprehensive ranking of the Jiangxi Agricultural University,in similar institutions in the country's status and the status of colleges and universities in the province,finally draw the conclusion: university ranking has a certain reference value to the school level;Agriculture and forestry schools rank low in the rankings;The same school ranked in different rankings for different rankings,and the rankings were dubious.On the basis of the above research,this article finally for colleges and universities how to actively respond to list,four Suggestions are put forward,hope to use charts to promote the development of colleges and universities,strive to build a world-class university.
