An Investigation Report On Teaching Of Chinese In Middle School At Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat Thailand

In recent years, with the development of China's economy and the"enthusiasm in Chinese learning", more and more Thai people began to learn Chinese. As the center of the economy, culture, politics and education of the Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, the Chinese teaching system of Nakhon Si Thammarat is relatively complete and has a certain representation in the area.So it is necessary to do deeply research in Chinese teaching.The author has been a Chinese teacher in this area for six years. Having rich experience of teaching, the author has carried on the investigation to the Chinese teaching situation in the Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat through questionnaires, literature research and interviews, then analyzes the existence problems: the student learning motivation is not clear; The learning method is not correct; Teachers are lack of experience; The teachers are in high turnover;Curriculum is not uniform, Teaching materials are not unified; Evaluation criteria are not unified; Teaching time is not enough; and teaching equipment is inadequate, etc. To solve these problems, the author gives some Suggestions.For example, to stimulate students' learning motivation, the teacher can take the competition mechanism during the process of teaching, giving good students some rewards. Schools can also set up a scholarship system to stimulate students' motivation. Students take the initiative to find a variety of ways to learn Chinese to improve their own learning methods, etc. Teachers should join the relevant Chinese teaching and training program to improve the teaching ability and increase students' interest in learning Chinese and so on.Through the investigation and analysis of the situation of Chinese teaching in this place , this paper puts forward some suggestions hoping to be beneficial to the development of local Chinese teaching.
