The Problems And Countermeasures Of Higher Education Development In Thailand

Chulalongkorn(1868-1910),the first university was established by the Medical College in 1889 and it was the beginning of higher education in Thailand.Thailand had applied education models from both America and Europe in order to improve its education system.The institution was very strict about education and it set high standards to make sure it was as good as Europe and America.Even though Thailand is not a center of education and technology,it was developed for both regional and national level.As a developing country,Thailand is able to learn from other nations’ experiences in education.This enables Thai education,to stay up to date and gradually have its own unique education system.Regarding developing process and standardization,Thailand still lacks balance and discipline in developing its education.The researcher has collected relevant research in three different languages including Chinese,English and Thai.Questionnaire was used with Thai university students to find out their opinion of Thai higher education,the development of the Thai higher education system,and to review solutions to its problems as well as promoting a proper analytical approach.The research of this article mainly includes literature research,survey research and the interview methods,analyzing the present situation of the higher education in Thailand,the innovation and the development of the education for the conclusion in education,the causes are related to the study of solving problems and providing the current status of higher education in Thailand.The results of this research has an important reference about the development of higher education in Thailand.
