Question design is one of the methods that teachers use to arouse students' enthusiasm and participation, and to improve the teaching environment of high school biology teaching. Under the guidance of new curriculum ideas, many new teaching models appear. No matter which one we choose during the teaching procedure, we cannot teach without questions since teaching procedure is a process of raising questions and solving them. Researchers of recent years focus their attentions on question design and usage, hoping to find an effective approach to improve teaching efficiency and comprehensive abilities of students.This paper starts with an investigation about the present situation of the question design and usage of high school biology teaching. By analyzing the result statistically, we can have a clear understanding of the present situation of question design of high school biology teaching. Basing on the analysis, we can put forwards some strategies on question design of high school biology teaching. In this paper, we discuss the integrity, gradation, situational, heuristic and generative of question design. Meanw hile, a section of the biology class teaching activity is used as a teaching case to illustrate the using process. In order to examine the teaching efficiency of the question design of t he high school biology teaching, we use questionnaire to analyze the influence of question design on students' learning attitudes, initiative, learning interest, question awareness and the cultivation of students science thinking.Doing research on question design and usage of high school biology teaching, we can make the communication between teachers and students come into true and improve the students' thinking. This paper can also help the students attach importance to their question design, and provide them with some practical methods.
