| The oasis is the basic area for human's activities in arid land that there lives ninety percent population of rural residents.We should pay attention to rural residents' happiness,and seek the relationship between subjective well-being and environmental awareness to understand the ecological condition,and coordinate humanities and ecological environment coupled to ensure that local residents have confidence in local development and have happiness with production and life,to achieve the sustainable development of regional society and economy.Turpan Prefecture-level City(Turpan District)is located in the northwestern arid land of China,with a natural ecological environment and a historical culture,and is a typical oasis agricultural area.So pay attention to rural residents' happiness of the area,using the Aydingkol Village as an example,analysis the impacts of residents' happiness,and integrate the residents' happiness with environmental awareness under the fragile ecological environment in Turpan,we devote to seek the relationship between the two above,and reveal the spatial distribution rules.Our research group obtained the questionnaire data by the field investigation from 2014 to 2016 at Aydingkol Township in Turpan.We analyzed the main factors affecting the residents' well-being and environmental awareness of Aydingkol Township,with the help of remote sensing image and multi-year statistic data,combined with deep interviews,using the spatial statistic method to judge the impacts of residents' happiness and environmental awareness under different subject and object condition,and we had a result on the different rules of spatial distribution of the relationship between the residents' well-being and environmental awareness of Aydingkol Township.The main conclusion are as follows:1.The residents' subjective well-being and environmental consciousness of Aydingkol Township is influenced by the economic level,educational level,transportation distance,ecological environment and other factors,The residents' subjective well-being presents a "U" shaped spatial distribution pattern,and the changes of environmental awareness on space is not significant.2.In general,the residents' happiness evaluation of Gandian village is the only one with moderate sense of happiness in Aydingkol Township,and the other villages present higher degree of happiness.Family income and education level are most closely relate to the residents' subjective well-being.The overall environmental awareness of the township is low mainly due to the lack of knowledge about the environment.The education level,the age and the annual household income are most closely related to environmental awareness.3.The relationship between the local natural environment conditions and the subjective well-being of residents,and the relationship between the local natural environment conditions and residents' environmental awareness are not significant,but also have a degree of impact.The higher local aridity index and higher surface temperature are companied with the lower level of residents' sense of well-being and environmental awareness.The higher NDVI index is companied with the higher the level of residents' sense of well-being and environmental awareness.4.The relationship between residents' subjective well-being and residents' education level showed some variation in the space,that correlation performed higher in western and eastern than the middle region in longitude,and most area performed the negative correlation.The relationship between residents' subjective well-being and family income showed a negative correlation in the southwest,and a positive correlation near the township government,northern Jiangzi village and the Eastern Yemxi village.5.There was a negative correlation between environmental awareness and education level.Higher educated persons are willing more to develop in big cities,which leads to the lack of confidence on the development,thus affecting the environmental awareness and environmental behavior of local residents.Environmental awareness and age also have negative correlation,that is not only because the lack of environmental knowledge,but also because the less exchange on environment issues so that it is unable to form a good environmental consciousness.There was a positive relationship between residents' environmental awareness and the family income,that showed a fact that the residents will focus more on the spiritual needs after meet basic needs,and the pursuit of a better living environment makes a high level of environmental awareness.But there are also negative correlation in some area,“strong sense of survival” will make them improve the living environment as the first.6.The relationship between residents' subjective well-being and environmental awareness is more complex on the spatial distribution.From east to west,the relationship changed from negative to positive,and the correlation changed from low to high.The Gandian village had the highest relevance between residents' sense of well-being and environmental awareness,but with poor environmental awareness,thus leaded to a lowest sense of well-being among the township.Jiangzi village had a relatively backward economic development level,but residents' happiness had less influence on environmental awareness,it might be the reason that the bad natural environment conditions.Their "survival consciousness" was eagered to improve the living environment so that protecting the environment became the village residents' common sense.The spatial correlation analysis of residents subjective well-being and environmental awareness in Aydingkol Township,combined with deep interviews,can explain the reasons and impacts of subjective well-being,environmental consciousness and the relationship of the two,can better grasp the conditions of production and living of local residents,and give the corresponding policy adjustment so that we can promote the sustainability of the development of regional society and economy. |
