With the development of the times,the scientific knowledge,technology,and the society are highly interrelated.The main body of the society should have good scientific literacy.Teaching is an important way to cultivate the scientific literacy of the public.In 2001,China has introduced the relevant concepts of scientific literacy education into middle school biology curriculum goals.Firstly,this paper reviews the research status of Chinese and foreign scientific literacy education by referring to the literature,and explains the theoretical basis and related important concepts of scientific literacy education research,clarifies the purpose and significance of research,and establishes the research ideas and research methods.Secondly,in the practice research activities,the teachers and students of Z school in Xianyang were investigated.The author carries out the investigation and research via questionnaires and interviews.By combining the results of the questionnaires,the author analyzes the present situation of scientific literacy education in this school and puts forward some ways to improve it.Lastly,through experimental teaching,The author contrasts and analyzes the effects of teaching case implementation,and observes the students' performance in class,according to the results of the questionnaire analyzed by using SPSS19.0 software to examine the scores of students after statistics and analysis,evaluating teaching effectiveness,and summarizing the problems that should be paid attention to permeate scientific literacy while teaching.The results of the questionnaire survey shows that Z school is insufficient in the implementation of scientific literacy education,The students' scientific knowledge,ability and cognition should be trained and improved.For example,some students have the lack of interest in learning biology,their incorrect learning attitude,their poor understanding of the importance of scientific knowledge,and their lack of scientific thinking habits,etc;Teachers lack the awareness that students are the main body of teaching,carry out fewer exploratory experiments,and lack guidance and connection,and so on.The author thinks that we should improve the present situation from two aspects,first of all,students should have an accurate understanding of biology,with good learning habits,be able to understand the law of development of things.Secondly,teachers should pay attention to the development of their own comprehensive quality,cultivate students' interest and enthusiasm in class learning,combine the textbook STS plate with scientific literacy,pay attention to the combination of theory and practice,cultivate students' dialectical thinking ability,use the game method to carry out classroom feedback,and take the extracurricular activities.Therefore,the author adopts different teaching methods,implements the proposed improvement methods in the experimental class.By means of the teaching practice,the author discovers that the infiltration of scientific literacy education can enrich the scientific knowledge of students,improve the quality of scientific thinking and cultivate the students' scientific attitude and cognition;at the same time,the students' performance has been significantly improved.It shows that the scientific literacy education activities can be carried out effectively from the above two aspects.
