Based on the new curriculum reform of education concept,literature method is used to collect data.While the method of using questionnaire survey and interviews are used to collect the first-hand data.And the method of case analysis is frequently used to discuss how to put the resources from documentary video into geography teaching,researching and application.The main idea of this article mainly includes the following three parts:First,the author tries to define the related concept of video resources,documentary,geography teaching resources and also summarize the characteristics of documentary videos.The theoretical foundation of the application of documentary resources in the high school geography teaching are learning motivation theory,constructivism theory,audio-visual education theory,geography teaching theory etc.To understand the usage of documentary video resources in high school geography teaching,the author used the questionnaire to investigate the high school students.Also three teachers were interviewed.Through those analysis,the author gained access to know the school attaches great importance to video resources in geography teaching.However,the development and application in it in high school still exists a series of problems.For example,class tension may results in low use of documentary video resources,the actual effect of the documentary watching cannot in accord with the expectation,etc.Second,based on the theoretical basis and practice,the author integrated the predecessors' research results.This paper discusses the significance of the documentary geography teaching resources application,and lists the documentary video resources collection method.Propose that the application of the documentary video resources should follow the principle of ideological content,timeliness,typicality and interest.Third,the paper discussed the basic process of using the documentary video resources in high school geography teaching from three stages,which are the preparation before class,the application in class and development after class.In the second quarter of the third chapter of the textbook(Compulsory 2),giving an example of “The agricultural regional type based on planting",applying the video clips of "beautiful C hina" into geography teaching.Then through the specific case for application of the documentary video resources,the author tries to make further definition.This paper emphasizes on the prominent problems in geography teaching of the use of documentary video resources in high school,put forward the application principles of documentary video resources and specific measures of application.Studies conducted by the author hopes to better help first-line teachers in geography teaching,further improve the efficiency of geography learning.
